We went to Es Pueto in mid November for a week on an II exchange. We had a lovely restful week in an apartment with a view over the marina. The apartments are quiet, clean and very well located with a decent kitchen. Most of the restaurants in the lovely town were open, though some in the marina were not open in the evening, but in the main part of town there was a great selection of really good restaurants.

The only negatives about the resort was that we found the bed uncomfortable and the jacuzzi pool wasn't really hot enough. There is also no on site parking but there is a large but rough free open car park opposite. The weather was also quite mixed but you can get around that.

The biggest asset the resort has is the receptionist / manager Benito. He was brilliant.

Room Tip: Get a room with a marina view.

Our 2nd visit to Es Puerto in Santa Eulalia. And even though the weather was slightly disappointing, we've had driving rain, strong winds and thunderstorms the food, that can now be found at restaurant that is to be found underneath the apartments ehich is open to non residents, is OUT OF THIS WORLD. An Italian restaurant run by a family, Luca, the eldest son is waiter and bar man, and his momma is the chef. I can take or leave pasta, but after eating here will never be able to eat it again without saying 'it's not as good as mommas ' truly wonderful and anyone visiting Santa Eulalia must try it. Special board of the night for just 8/9€ plus mommas desserts. A magical experience.
The service at Es Puerto as been excellent as well. Benito on reception is a world of knowledge on the whole Island, apartments kept exceptionally clean, lovely little pool, although even in October on a hot day maybe not quite enough sunbeds.
Look forward to visiting again soon.

We went there on an Interval International exchange from 1st to 8th October. The resort grounds are lovely and it is very close to the beach/promenade at Santa Eulalia which is lovely with lots of bars and resteraunts..The appartment itself was dated with furniture that we had in our home resort in Spain in the eighties. While it was big enough for 2 of us (1 bedroom) I would not have liked to have had to use the sofa bed to accomodate more people. The kitchen was tiny with no work space and any food preparation had to be done in the living area. There were no facilities other than the pool which was very clean.I liked the area and would like to return but I would not return to this resort as I do not feel it is up to the normal standard I expect from I.I

The location really is amazing. Very close to a vast number of different restaurants, shops, supermarkets and a lovely beach. Great little playpark in front of the apartments which my 5 year old loved. There is a gorgeous restaurant on site, run by Luca who is amazing and there are some great Balinese beds which we loved when we spent time by the pool. The apartments are very well equipped but if I'm honest they could do with updating, the mattresses aren't the most comfortable and the showers and hot water system could be improved. Benito on reception is so helpful and very welcoming.

Room Tip: Numbers ending 2-6 definitely have the best views. 107 has a great balcony

We recently returned from another great trip to Es Pueto.

We are owners but I write this aimed at people who will no doubt be exchanging through Dial An Exchange, Interval International, etc. or privately renting.

Couple of gripes first. The on-site restaurant is more of an 'Italian Kitchen' rather than a 'Poolside Café'. They don't sell soft drinks on draught or a local Spanish lager (instead there is a brand called Bavaria which is not as cheap as Spanish lagers and in my mind, not very nice) and most of the food is Italian-based. However, all the food is very good, now they have injected some English food to the English breakfast and also the evening meals are great. It is possible to have a snack for your lunchtime meal also, at a reasonable price and with very good service. All the staff are friendly, too.

The pool is a good size and there are plenty of loungers and umbrellas. There are some luxury four-poster beds you have to pay for and personally we don't bother with these, but you may think they're worth paying for over the normal cheap plastic-based beds. There is a gym with all the bits you'd need whilst on holiday and also a sauna and jacuzzi if you fancy it. Benito on the reception desk will bend over backwards for you and help you in any way you need, and will always give a friendly "buenos días" when you walk through the door.

Lots of people reckon the rooms are dated. They're not. They have a 'classic' furniture design which is in keeping with the upmarket and mediterranean feel. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms and plenty of room for four, with enough still for six. The kitchen has a washer and dishwasher and full oven, hob, microwave, etc. if you want to cook your own things. Cleaning service is 5 times per week and is very comprehensive. The rooms have access to free WiFi (protected by a password which the reception will give you), a CD player and a reasonable sized TV. You get one large balcony for sitting and eating on etc. and a smaller one for hanging out washing and other mundane things. Rooms are non-smoking which is good, also. Some of the showers are a bit old but recently the trays have been replaced and they work just fine so you can't really complain at all. Room numbers ending in 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 have a great view of the marina which has been holiday destination of some A-list celebs over the time, with rooms ending 1 and 7 having a slightly angled view across town and only rooms ending in 8 get a naff view of a car park. However, you don't get much choice being an owners club, people own specific apartments. We have 203 which is in arguably the best position on the front. There are only 31 apartments in the complex (plus one private apartment, 104) so it is never too heavily populated. The complex is designed over 5 floors (ground floor for facilities and four floors of rooms) so it isn't too high - also very safe for kids.

Santa Eulalia is perfect for a holiday whether you're a couple, family or bunch of friends. If you want the stereotypical Ibiza clubbing scene, look elsewhere but everyone else should find things to do with lots of local activities, places to eat, culture and there is a large and well-kept beach. The local government have done two things lately: (1) invested money in the central marketplace to make it a lively hub full of locals and tourists alike and (2) banned smoking on the beach (cigarette ends in the sand is just horrible so that is no more) making it cleaner and safer for kids. It is a safe place anyway, so do not be worried about that, as long as you take reasonable care like you would in any other tourist resort. The town offers a bike hire shop (Kandani) which we use each year and take ourselves off on a little trip and also local 'rent a car'. However, we never hire a car as the bus service is excellent (check out ibizabus.com) and cheap. Also, the Spanish drive like idiots (the only time we hired a car a local didn't stop in time and he ran into the back of us whilst we were stationary).

We think you should pay Es Pueto a visit, we go for two weeks each year and we love it!

Room Tip: You don't get much say in your room, but room numbers ending in 2-6 are best.
