the hubby an I really enjoyed this place. we shared an appetizer (antipasto dell'osteria I think was the name) and had two main courses. both pappardelle with ragu'di cinghiale and peposo were delicious. portions are large and food is delicious. staff is very friendly and the view is pretty. will definitely go back for fiorentina!

We visited as a family of 8 for our last night in Tuscany and rang ahead to reserve a table. When we arrived, it turns out we couldn't all sit together as they weren't able to move the tables due to them being stone. We had a table for 2 and then 6 people on the other table which was a shame as it was our only family meal out for the holiday. The waiters were friendly and the son spoke English so that was great and made it easier to order. A few people had starters and the rest of us just ordered mains. Their starters took about 40 minutes to come out and by the time they were finished their starters, we were given our main courses. The rest of us ate and by the time we were finished, the people who had starters main meal still hadn't arrived! About 20 minutes later it arrived. The food was outstanding and very delicious but the timings did really let it down. They have a range of pastas and meats and every member of our family thoroughly enjoyed their food. I understand that they are a family run business so the number of staff is limited however, if you are unable to get food out at the same time then maybe you shouldn't take as many bookings? We did hear other people also complain about the wait times so its clear that this is an issue. If you are not in a rush and don't mind waiting for your food then I would highly recommend it as the food is outstanding and the prices are very reasonable.

This is the real deal. A family business in a tiny hamlet with a roof top terrace that gives you a stunning view over the valley to Moncioni.
The food is regular Tuscan but made with real love , understanding and passion. Portions are huge so go very hungry. The wild boar ragu was the best I've had and I've had a lot.we enjoyed every huge dish and coupled with a lovely Brunello we left very happy. Prices are modest. FYI There is no parking but some public spaces nearby and you do need to reserve to get a table with a view. The family are charming , attentive and speak good English. The son studied catering in London. This is a real gem in a very quiet backwater but One that needs more recognition for getting all the basics right. Take you loved one(s) in time for the sunset in July and you'll leave happy , sated and glad you made the effort.

This Osteria's setting is at one of the highest points in the area providing a beautiful setting on their rooftop patio for dinner. The family that owns the restaurant were so friendly and accommodating of our large group. The food, prepared by the owner who manned the kitchen while his wife and son served, was excellent. The primary waiter is the owners son. He is fluent in English and very knowledgeable about the food and wine. His mother assisted him and prepared the delicious desserts. This is a must visit if you are in the area.

We had the pleasure of renting a villa within minutes of this gem and dined 4 times in 3 weeks and every time we left full, happy and enjoyed the families hospitality. The roof top wasn't open due to weather but the dining room is cozy and still offers views from the windows, gorgeous. This is true Italian food with an excellent and growing wine list. The pappadelle in a slow cooked wild boar sauce is a must and our last night there the chef added a sliced chicken breast in a warm balsamic vinegar drizzle to the menu, momma mia this is excellent food. His wife makes all the desserts, don't miss her panacotta with fruit, so amazing. Their son helps with menu selection and offers attentive service throughout your meal. Even their young daughter helps, this is truly a family that loves what they do. A previous review mentions that Chef leaving, don't let that stop you, these new owners go beyond most restaurants in service and food quality, you will not be disappointed. Once the word gets out and more visitors to the area enjoy this restaurant you'll need reservations to get in. We loved it!
