Casa Nonna is a perfect little apartment for a couple wanting to explore Ostuni and the delightful towns and villages of Puglia. We had everything we needed to make us comfortable and we were welcomed by Ed and Gemma on arrival who made sure we were settled in and had all the information we needed. Ostuni is a great place to base your Puglia holiday as it has lots to offer on an evening. Great bars and restaurants offering everything from pizza to Michelin Starred fare are no more than a few yards from the front door and there are opportunities to sample some great Puglian wine. Highly recommended - but be aware - entrance and exit to the apartment and terrace is via some pretty steep stairs. This is quite common in Ostuni but if that’s not a problem you will have a great time.
This is a fantastic apartment equipped with everything you need. It is located in the historic centre of Ostuni and is a short walk to local attractions, and a short drive to the beach and surrounding towns. We stayed for a few days during winter and were pleasantly surprised by the weather at this time of year. The owners were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We would definitely recommend.
Ed and Gemma were fantastic throughout the booking process, and really helped us to plan our trip.
The flat is gorgeous! It has so much character, great views and a roof terrace, from where you can look out to the Adriatic sea. It is positioned down a cute alley way, in a safe area and has all the charms of Ostuni.
It was beautifully clean, with simple, classic decor and a very comfortable bed. We visited with parents, so they slept in the bedroom, and us on the sofa-bed. It is well spacious enough for this arrangement, or for a family of 4.
The kitchen is small but well equipped, however we really only cooked breakfast.
Casa Nona is well positioned - we could get everywhere in the old town in just a few minutes. There are plenty of amazing places to eat classic Italian food. The bus stop is a few minutes walk away, we did not need a car.
I would be back in a heart beat!
Casa Nonna is a lovely apartment in a great location on a little winding "street" in the old medieval part of Ostuni. The views across the olive groves to the sea from the tall windows in the thick stone walls of the apartment takes you way back in time. All the rooms have high rounded ceilings but for some reason it was most noticeable in the bedroom which was so restful.
The little restaurant "next door" has great pizza and excellent service. If you want to get to the Adriatic and you don't have a car (we didn't) the best bet is to take the local bus which you can catch just down at the main road.
Ed and Gemma, the owners of the property, were very helpful and responsive. Ed patiently answered my many emails leading up to our stay. (We took the train from Rome to Ostuni (highly recommend it) but if you want to know if you can guarantee that you'll be facing the way the train is going, the answer is no - there's no way to tell when you get your seats which way you'll be facing.:))
Thanks, Ed and Gemma, for a great stay!
Cosy apartment very conventiently located in the old town of Ostuni
Ed and Gemma gave us a very nice welcome and they were very nice and gave us all necessary information.
There was also a terrace on the roof with a nice view.
We highly recommend this place!
