We visited Safran not once or twice, but three times on our recent trip to Paros and had a wonderful dinner each time. To begin with, the atmosphere is lovely: the restaurant is bright and welcoming, tastefully decorated, and spotless. It is on the first floor with its front side open and overlooking one of the many charming alleyways of Naoussa. For its upscale appearance, you might expect an expensive menu; instead, the prices are very reasonable for the ample, delicious portions which are always beautifully presented on each plate. The menu has some contemporized renditions of Greek foods like mouthwatering lamb shank or perfectly grilled calamari. There are also many creative items like eggplant mousse, a side dish, or a tiramisu mojito for dessert. No review would be complete without mentioning Gilda, the wonderful manager, hostess, and co-owner of Safran. Gilda, with her kind, cheerful manner, makes every person dining there feel special. I am looking forward to our next trip to Paros and to dining at Safran again!
