B&B Le Richmond is conveniently situated halfway Namur and Dinant, right at the river beds of La Meuse. The former post office, later minister's mansion, was very tastefully restored, combining lots of original details with stylish colours, art, and modern comfort. The spacious garden offers a good swimming pool with comfortable beds. Our room was at the front side of the house, overlooking three forested islands in a beautiful section of the river. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

The friendly owners speak French, English (she) and some Dutch (he). They offer a nice breakfast with fresh orange juice, croissants and eggs to your liking, and a BBQ at night. We requested an extra early breakfast, which was no problem at all.

Unfortunately, however, the accommodation misses the finishing touch.

First of all, only cash payments are accepted, which is kinda odd. Secondly, the guest rooms could not be locked. I felt safe leaving my iPad, but still. The toilet, located in an alcove in our room, had no door, which may not be appreciated by all guests. We had a rain shower, but the water pressure was so low that it lost much of its functionality. The sink was not fitted at all and leaked as a result. Some of the used materials were obviously cheap and somewhat crappy. The building itself was rather noisy, partially due to the cracking original wooden flooring. Personally, I think that had its charm.

All in all Le Richmond is a very nice place to stay for a few nights, although a bit over-priced as long as certain things aren't properly fixed.

We booked this B&b after checking out lots of places on tripadvisor as it seemed to be the best in the area in our price range. We were not disappointed, on the contrary! We were very kindly welcomed by the owners who helped us with our luggage and showed us to our room. The room (don juan) was amazing! Very spacious and a fantastic view on the river. I did not like the mattress, which was too soft for me, but this is a personal question. Another thing we did not find very romantic was the door-less toilet but it did not annoy us too much. The garden is huge and extremely well kept, just like the entire property. The rooms were spotless, everything was super clean. The highlight of our stay was breakfast: delicious bread and a huge choice of cheeses etc, fresh orange juice, eggs, ...fabulous and very generous. This b&b must be a gem in summer when one can also enjoy the beautiful garden. We highly recommand this place owned by a friendly and extremely hard working couple!

In a search to escape the city life of Brussels for a second, I stumbled upon this marvellous B&B, which was exactly what I was longing for. Located in a beautifully restored and decorated 300 year old house, it is set peacefully just next to the river Meuse.

The owners, Valère and Laurence, really make you feel at home, and don't hesitate to invite you to join them for an apero outside on a beautiful spring afternoon. Everything you want is there, nice clean rooms, beautiful setting, swimming pool. Ah, and the breakfast, fresh orange juice, croissants, tasty jams and cheeses, really, what more do you want...

Room tip: The Don Juan room was perfect, look outside as the water of the river Meuse slowly flows by...
