Went there looking for a place for a wedding, the hotel is absolutely beautiful, very well maintained, has many corners and areas for private parties. Took a tour of the Hacienda which was very enjoyable and educational.
The only problem we encountered was the food, it does not match the quality of the hotel. We ate at the restaurant and were disappointed plus the service was not the best. We all agreed that a great part of a wedding is the food and they couldn’t do that to our guests.
I will love to go back to the hacienda with the hopes that they change chefs and if possible make their menu a little more traditional Mexican and less gourmet.

I was fortunate last fall to find this Hacienda on line. From the moment we arrived we were transported back in time to this beautiful Hacienda-sugar mill transformed into a luxury hotel 30 minutes south of Cuernavaca or about 2 hours south of MÉXICO city. We had the good fortune to run into the owner Juan Fenton who shared some of the interesting history of the Hacienda with us.

There are not enough compliments for this Hacienda. Many of the old buildings have been renovated into beautiful bedrooms, dining rooms, and the main building with a wine cellar, additional bedrooms, and the reception.

The bedrooms are breathtaking. I think they used to be part of an old stable and have been converted into bedrooms with exposed walls and a walk down bathroom ensuite. We stayed in both the “Carla” and the “Mandarino” and both were excellent. The beds were extremely comfortable as were the pillows. There was an eye to derail right down to the furnishings including some beautiful lamps.

The restaurant is simply outstanding. I’ve been travelling to MÉXICO on business and for pleasure for over 35 years and no other place has had it All. The service was excellent, the menu diverse, the food some of the best I have ever had, and a kitchen more than willing to make whatever special request a guest has. (Mine was fresh green salsa ..salsa verde crudo)..fantastic! Great selection of wines and I have to mention the micro brewery beer Allende which my husband was so happy to find here...so far from San Miguel de Allende...turns out it’s the owners favourite as well. Special thanks to Carlos the maître’d who took outstanding care of us

The dining room over looks a stunningly beautiful pool and backdrop of hundred feet tall palm trees. In the back patio mango trees surround the outside eating area.

Almost forgot to mention the spa...OMG wow it not only is a beautiful setting but the massages are to die for! Many thanks to Veronica, Giovana, and Rocio whose massages were absolutely fantastic!

In the back there is a tennis court and another court for pickle ball? There is also an open lawn for volley ball

There is horseback riding through the grounds or outside the Hacienda passing by sugar cane fields, the old aqueduct, organic lime tree fields.

There are lots of hidden gems to discover, the waterfall, the hidden bar and jacuzzi, the reflecting pond, the reading room and library....the list goes on and n. And all of this surrounded by lush foliage.

Also have to mention we bought a romantic package this past visit. What a special day it was .. massages , followed by a lovely dinner in the wine cellar, followed by a wonderful surprise and Carlos was amazing. His service and warm conversation made the evening even better. Last but not least was the trio which played live music ... could not have been better.

The Hacienda is super safe and such a peaceful place.. we didn’t want to leave

I can’t recommend any place as highly as this!

We can’t wait to go back and spend some true relax time! Ojalá sea muy pronto la próxima visita!

One of the best places I've been to in Mexico. Just incredible! Everything is super luxurious. It's not cheap but worth it. Food is also very good. The hacienda is just beautiful, full of gardens and flowers. Very romantic!

This place has to be seen to be believed. It is completely magical. The rooms are masterpieces, the grounds are gorgeous, the pool is wonderful, the restaurant is very good (with plenty of vegetarian options), and the staff are super helpful. I only stayed for 2 nights for a wedding but it was one of the best experiences I've ever had. Take me back!
