“If you are looking for a rejuvenating, awe inspiring, small piece of heaven, look no further.”

This was our first trip to Jamaica and we are planning on returning! Angie, the housekeeper, met us at the airport in Montego Bay with a big smile and hug. She made us feel at home right away. The meals she cooked for us were superb. Her jerk chicken is famous! The house, situated in a tiny fishing village, is older, but well maintained and clean. The bed was comfortable and the ceiling fans did the trick for keeping the heat down! We started each morning with coffee on the rooftop patio, watching the pelicans fish and listening to the surf. We found the local people to be very friendly and delighted in teaching my husband to "speak Jamaican". The beach was beautiful, clean, and, for the most part, we had it to ourselves. If you like seafood, the Lobster Pot is not to be missed....and it's just a minute walk down the beach. Angie arranged for day trips for us to go up the Black River, Pelican Bar (a must see), Lovers Leap, YS Falls, and Bamboo Avenue.
If you are looking for a busy place, that is always hopping, then this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a peaceful, beautiful area, where you can totally relax and rejuvenate, this is it.

My girlfriend and I were amazed by this incredible escape in Treasure Beach. The pictures do not do the property or location justice. After renting a car, driving the three hours from Montego Bay, and arriving to Angie (the wonderful housekeeper) waiting for us in the front yard, we walked through the backyard and onto a beach that was perfect.

Look left, look right, and it's welcoming sand for hundreds of yards. Over the course of nearly two weeks, there were never more than six people (in addition to the two of us) sharing the ocean. Most times, we had it all to ourselves.

If you prefer to avoid the tourist traps, all-inclusive resorts, and exploring-in-packs style of vacationing too many people settle for, then Treasure Beach will not disappoint.
