Got a great deal for a weekend at the Terrace Hotel and wasn't sure what to expect but was very pleasantly surprised both with the hotel and the little town of Magherafelt.
* Room was spotless and modern. Comfy bed with soft pillows.
* Food in the restaurant was excellent. The package included one dinner.
* Staff were very friendly especially the new Manageress Cecilia.
* First class entertainment in the Front Bar on the Saturday night
* Excellent parking facilities to the rear of the hotel
* Great value menu with offer of 2 main meals for £10.

I would like to see weekend / midweek break offers on their site as this would encourage me to make many return visits in the future.

Magherafelt is an excellent little town to visit. It has lots of shops to explore and a couple of good boutiques. I believe that there is a Saturday market in the nearby town of Cookstown but we didn't have time to visit it. Hopefully the next time we are staying at the Terrace we can take a trip there.

Many thanks to all the staff who made our stay so enjoyable. Hope to be back to see the decor in Front Bar finished. Love the new colour scheme and furniture!

Stayed for girlie weekend. Hotel spotlessly clean. Staff efficient, pleasant and friendly. we had a front room and the traffic noise was`nt bad at all. Beds comfy, room spacious. We had a handicapped room...would have preferred a bathroom with a bath and a shower and would ask for this next time. New manageress has just taken over and we found her friendly and helpful. The saturday night band was really enjoyable and created a happy atmosphere...it`s a pity more locals dont support this venue as they are missing a trick. Renovation is in progress and will update an already well maintained hotel. Plenty of good bars and restaurants in Magherafelt, we were pleasantly surprised ! We would definatly return to this great wee spot and in particular this hotel. One small point...we went early for breakfast on the first morning and the fresh fruit salad was all gone ( a young male hockey team were also staying and had breakfast very early ) We asked if we could have more and were told " No, sorry...it`s all done " Second morning there was some but it consisted of 95% apple...this is a very small point but for someone who wants fresh fruit salad it`s something to note. Thanks to all the staff...a very pleasant team.

A real gem of a hotel, great accommodation, friendly staff and top class food. This was our first stay in Magherafelt and I must say we were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed the trip. The hotel is in a very central location of the town. And Magherafelt itself is great - a visit to Dormans and the Opera is a must and we really enjoyed the music and atmosphere in the Terrace Hotel itself and in Mary's Bar. The location in the Sperrins is beautiful and we would highly recommend a trip there- where of course you should stay in this great hotel. Can not thank the staff enough they were great.
