“Very homely and a pleasure to stay”
Reviewed 19 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We are a family of four, with a baby, and we stayed for two nights. The owner is really welcoming and made us feel at home. The rooms are a good size, especially the second bedroom where the children slept. There are lots of toys and board games to keep the children happy. The welcome pack included the necessities including eggs from their chickens! We definitely could have lived there forever!

We booked this cottage for the weekend to visit family. We were met by very friendly owner Catherine, who showed us around. On discovering a lightbulb had gone, she immediately sent her husband around to replace it & got out door toys for children to play in garden after a long journey. A lot of thought had gone into making us feel welcome- newspaper & magazines were provided, along with many toiletries for both us & children, toys, games DVDs, books etc. The 'welcome tray' was amazing! Cereal, bread, milk, orange juice, biscuits, tea, coffee & butter were just some of the items provided along with delicious fresh eggs from their own hens. The cottage was immaculate & very comfortable & the children loved looking at the hens, alpacas & sheep. Will definitely be returning!

“Beautiful cottage in rural Yorkshire.”
Reviewed 20 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

A truly beautiful cottage in fabulous surroundings. We received a wonderful welcome pack including fresh free range eggs and even wine in the fridge.
Exceptionally clean and very spacious all linen was provided including towels. Bathroom was well stocked with shampoo, shower gel and toothpaste just in case you had forgotten anything. WiFi was also free during the stay.
Backing on to the garden we were greeted daily by our hosts Alpacas, sheep, hens and a goose. All in all a wonderful place to stay and would recommend to everyone.
I must add the local pub (The George) is just a minutes walk away and the pies are to die for.

“Wonderful holiday cottage”
Reviewed 26 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Just what we wanted away from the rat race. Everything was catered for including fresh farm eggs and strawberries. So comfortable and welcoming and hope to go back soon. Would also recommend the pies in the George in the village.

“wonderfully welcoming and peaceful”
Reviewed 12 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Such a wonderful cottage. Catherine could not have been more welcoming or helpful. Rang up for a very last minute booking and got an immediate reply. Such a peaceful setting, lovely private garden and wildlife in the garden made it feel like we were in the heart of the countryside. Fresh coffee, wine, OJ and pastries plus strawberries on the doorstep was above and beyond - proper VIP service. Great little pub down the road too and lots of walks right from your doorstep if you don't have a car. Can't wait to go back!
