We had booked to stay here one night at the beginning and one night at end of our holiday. Unfortunately when we arrived we were told that there had been a serious plumbing problem that had affected 20+ rooms, including ours. We were being sent to another hotel at the Royal Park's expense. So we looked forward to our overnight stay at the end of our holiday. Very nice hotel, although with suitcases finding our way to our room on the 4th floor of block 4 was a bit of a struggle, too many steps to go up & down. However our apartment room was very spacious, good sized kitchen, & lounge, as was the bedroom. Nice Balcony with table & 4 chairs and 2 loungers. We enjoyed 2 hours in the sun before we went to the bar to enjoy a drink during Happy Hour 2 euros 50 for 2 large glasses of chilled white wine. We stayed to eat rather than try and find a restaurant because it started to rain. Enjoyable meal and not too expensive. We stayed for the Karaoke because it was so amusing and there were a couple of good voices to listen to. An enjoyable final evening of our holiday. Shame the receptionist had misled us a little about the cost of pre-booking a taxi versus booking in the morning. It was 5 euros dearer not the same as he implied.

Room Tip: Our 4th floor room in block 4 was quiet, no rooms beyond therefore no-one passing. Overlooked the pool

We are members of Club Infiniti (part of the Muthu group) and are supposed to receive the best apartments and service. We stayed in apartment 340A. The good thing was we had sun on our balcony for most of the day. The bad thing is that the apartment is tired and badly needs renovating. This used to be classed as silver crown by the exchange company RCI. It has been down graded to a resort of distinction. In my opinion it isn't even that class. The staff at the resort are helpful and do their best but trying to elicit a response from management about issues is almost impossible.

The apartment had a torn lampshade, dirty areas in the kitchen (including dead insect) and a broken fridge. The kettle didn't work and the sun beds on the balcony were in a poor condition. One day we were even supplied with a ripped towel. The rail on the balcony was splintering and poorly applied white filler showed the poor attempt at maintenance. The shower screen in the bathroom had white deposits growing on it and the handrail in the bath was rusted. We pay an annual maintenance fee to MGM. Not sure where the evidence of that money being spent carefully can be found.

The swimming pool looks OK until you immerse yourself and see just how many areas under water need repair. Even the steps leading in the pool are wonky. They used to be fairy lights in the evening, round the pool areas and over the roof of the restaurant . They seem to have disappeared. The good thing is that the little footbridges have been replaced and are now more robust and safer.

This resort has a great location. Restaurants, harbour, shops and bus stops are all within easy walking distance. The resort has endeavoured to add ramps to make it more accessible for people with disabilities. However if you find walking and climbing stairs difficult this resort is not for you.

The staff in reception and the restaurant do their best and are always polite and efficient. Maris forwarded our complaints to management but they have failed to respond. The maid replaced the kettle when I explained that it did not work. Maria ensured another fridge was provided. However it all begs the question why had no one noticed the faults in the first place? Why has management not responded to our issues?

Room Tip: Blocks 8,9 and 10 receive most sun.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment, 361a, for a week in February. It was large and comfortable but only had 1 toilet and bathroom in an apartment that could potentially sleep 6. The kitchen was also a big disappointment, very limited kitchen equipment and almost no room to store food. Part of my enjoyment of holidays is shopping in local markets for fresh food and then going back to cook it. This was nigh on impossible in this kitchen. Also we are timeshare owners at Club Infinity. When you buy a timeshare you are told your accommodation with always be 4/5 star. This apartment was definitely 2/3 star although we are told that the owners MGM Muthu will be upgrading 49 of the apartments in this resort this year. The apartment was cleaned each day but I think this was only because we are Infinity members, others are cleaned less regularly. There was a very small TV with DVD player but I can't comment on the quality because we try not to watch TV on holiday unless the weather is bad. My top tip about the resort is don't use the restaurant. We arrived late on Saturday and ate in the restaurant because it was easy. Food was tasteless and unimaginative and my chicken breast was so tough I could have soled my shoes with it. To give them credit they refunded the price because I ate so little. I suggest you go next door to the Winter Gardens where the bistro overlooking the bowls court serves excellent meals very reasonably priced.

Room Tip: Don't choose a room at the front, the rubbish from all the hotels on this strip is collected in noisy lorries at 2am every morning!

We stayed for a week in January 2016, there are a lot of steps in this resort, the restaurant is a good average and probably based on all inclusive. We ate in there one evening but found better food a short walk away. Use the bus to access nearby villages or hire a car. There is a charge for WiFi

Room Tip: Ask for disabled access to avoid steps if you need easy access

My husband, daughter and I visited Park Albatros at half term. We were joining my parents who were already there and my sister joined us for 3nights too.

The apartment was a really good size and had everything we needed. It was great to have English TV, the negative would be the TV was very small.

Whilst there we enjoyed Aquagym with Marcus and happy hour and bingo everyday at 5pm.

We ate dinner in the restaurant twice, which was very nice - one of which was to celebrate my husband 's birthday. The table was decorated with sparkles and balloons. We treated ourselves to breakfast too which was delicious.

There are a lot of restaurants just outside the apartments and a couple of supermarkets too.

A nice break in the sun! We'll definitely go back.
