Stayed here for two nights, and so glad we did. It really helped break up the Ring of Kerry Drive. The weather was also not great during this portion of our trip, so the second night meant we were there when the sun did finally come out again.
We stayed in a harbor view room on the first floor. It was spacious, comfortable, clean, and looked recently renovated. At least everything felt very new. Breakfast, and the view from the breakfast room were great. Monica was a wonderful hostess who gave us lots of great information. We were hoping to make it out the Skelligs, but the weather didn't cooperate, but that just gives us a reason to come back in the future.
During our stay we visited Portmagee, which while small had plenty going on for a two night stay. But even better was Valentia island, a short drive away. A few great walks, hikes, and general beauty. And in the other direction definitely visit the Skelligs Chocolate place if you have time, and change up you tea time with an excellent hot chocolate.
We passed through Killarney, and there are just so many tourists out that way. Portmagee wasn't that much further, but felt so much more peaceful (without being too quite or remote.)More
