The villa is beautifully decorated and contains all of your mod cons.
The locations is amazing, away from all the crowds, the beach is at the bottom of the road with great snorkelling and cave exploring opportunities. There is also Xigia beach a little further walk up on he road which is stunning.
On this side of the island the sea is much calmer. The blue caves are a 10 minute drive away with many boat hiring opportunities in Agios Nichoalas. We took out our own boat and travelled around the head of the island to shipwreck bay, get there early as its a really busy spot.
There was so much to do in Zante sea kayaking from Keri, Turtle watching, SUP, sailing, Tsvili water park and exploring many old villages scattered in the mountains. Zakynthos town was also a beautiful pace to visit and the atmosphere on a Saturday night friendly and full of fun. Zante is such a small island we were able to travel the whole island in 2 weeks and really explore all its hidden gems.
The villa was perfectly situated in a quiet beautiful spot yet within an easy drive to Agios Nicholas, Zakynthos town and Mikro Nissi. We loved our holiday here.
Although there is no wifi we managed to get a strong 4G signal so di dnot find this a problem.
Laura was amazing from start to finish helping with the booking and sending us great information about supermarkets and places to visit.
Lenny and Sharon (the maintenance team) were lovely and made us feel most welcome..
We will be back one day soon!
This is a fantastic Villa situated at the north of Zakynthos Island where it is quieter than the towns in the south but with breath taking views and beaches.
We are a family with 2 teenage girls (13 & 16) who all love to swim and snorkel. This is the place for snorkeling in lovely warm clear waters. Also, the Villa has a lovely pool which is a must in the heat for cooling off.
You will need a hire car for moped/quad bike to get around. Be warned there are lots of steep twisty mountainous roads to negotiate!
Food is pricier than I remember but I was last in Greece 20 years ago! If you go to the supermarkets in the larger towns then you will find that food shopping is very cheap. Locally to this Villa there are loads of lovely Tavernas all offering great food. Best thing we found was to ask for what is best on the day and they will offer you the freshest meat/fish etc.
For us the trip to shipwreck beach and the Blue Caves was the best day out. For snorkeling believe or not, the best place was straight down from the Villa. there is a gravel road to some rocks and there is a point where you can access the sea (not for small kids though, I would say teenagers upward). You will be on your own in clear blue waters with many fish.
I recommend this Villa and Island.
We had a stunning holiday in the Villa Laurian in Zakynthos.
We travelled from Australia and had our 17 year old son with us. The villa was clean and neat and everything we needed was provided. Laura was the most fabulous host with lots of communication and information before we arrived. She arranged car hire for us (open top jeep was fun) and ensured that we were well looked after. The villa is about a 30 minute round trip to Peligoni Club. There are so many gorgeous local tavernas and restaurants, we ate like kings every day and the villa is well positioned to everything. You do need a car!! We would recommend the villa highly and loved our week long escape on Zakynthos. Just a note there is no wi-fi in the villa (which was a plus for us and our teenage son)!! Lots of family time and memories together.
