We loved our meal at Mezzo which was recommended to us by the manager of our nearby hotel Absolute Bliss. The tomato balls (a local specialty) were delicious but the octopus surprised us when it came out: a single large tentacle (we're used to baby octopus in Greek dishes in Australia). However it was char-grilled perfectly & was very tender & tasty, with the texture of a premium pork chop. The Popeye salad was fresh & delicious; the lamb shank perfectly cooked, falling off the bone easily; and the grilled chicken skewer with lemongrass, ginger & harissa sauce was mouthwateringly good! Our only regret was not trying the local Santorini white wines. The restaurant was not full but they were turning away people without bookings, so we were pleased we booked for an early dinner (6.00pm) to avoid the late-dinner crowds.
