We've booked here 3 nights, we were 4 people. The hotel is outside Corte in the Restonica valley - the building is nice, old, as it would have been something else before it was a hotel. The location and the view are beautiful: the river flows just behind the hotel and it's surrounded with mountains from all sides. The breakfast is delicious and you can have enough to be able to go for a hike afterwards :) we would've had a small fridge / mini bar in the room (we were on a road trip and had some food and beverage with us) and there was also no hairdryer. Another small disadvantage is that the hotel is outside the city and you always have to go by car if need something. The hotel has a restaurant but the selection on the menu is not too large and is also quite expensive.

Recently we stayed for 3 nights at hotel Hotel Dominique Colonna, next door to this auberge. Since our hotel did not offer dinner we were advised by the hotel staff to try out the kitchen of this family owned auberge next door. Seated on the wooden deck along the river we had a very nice dinner with Corsican specialities, served by very friendly waiters. A nice surprice!

This restaurant is across the parking lot from the hotel where we were staying in Corte. The restaurant is located on the river which is beautiful. The service is good and friendly. The food was underwhelming - in fact I was disappointed. The salad and Corsican soup are both good and served family style. I had the lamb which was dry like leather - it was obviously not made to order, but rather cooked in advance. My husband had the trout which we discovered was not fresh, rather frozen. We shared the apple tart which lacked flavor. I suspect there are better restaurants in the town of Corte if you are up to trying to find parking there.

Nice surprise next door to hotel, and on the river bank. Well trained, all female staff. Knowledgeable young sommelier for the right choice. First course of Corsican soup was good in chilly May. Had the lamb and the filet, both prepared nicely. Typical chocolate fondant was a big hit for sweet tooth.

See our previous review of the Dominique Colonna hotel.

This is the restaurant just outside the hotel. Seems to be part of the same premises.
The have had all our five dinners there.
Every evening was very enjoyable.
Table setting is very cosy and quite classy
We have experienced nice dishes that were prepared with local products and cooked daily by the chef.
Entrees :
Restonica salad, or Carpaccio, or mushrooms in pastry, or
Corsican soup were to die for,
Main course :
The local trout was nicely braised,
The Easter lamb, cooked perfectly echoed the veal with olives,
Deserts
Fiadone (local cheese cake) or chestnut ice-cream were very nice
Wide range of wine selection. Prices are fair for such quality.
Very nice and professional service.
Certainly a stop over you dont want to miss
Bravo!
