Stayed here for three nights for a wedding last week fantastic. The place is very quirky and definitely different we stayed in upper lodge cottage which was nice but not perfect. Bathroom door or bedroom door doesn’t close and tv didn’t work. It didn’t matter though as the rest of this beautiful place made up for it. The owners couldn’t do enough for you Bre is amazing. It was the little touches like a dog blanket and biscuits in our room when we arrived. Talking of dogs our Pippa loved her holiday I haven’t been anywhere so dog friendly she had the freedom of the full place it was clear the owners are animal lovers and our dog was as important as any other guests. Also first place I have stayed where we were not charged extra for our dog x a tip if you go is book one of the lodges they are amazing

We attended a close friends wedding. We were a bit apprehensive about staying in the lodges as they are tents! Put away your notion of camping in a field. These are tents not as you know them. The bedroom area was fantastically decorated and the Safari theme continued through the sitting area, kitchen and the enormous bathroom with free standing bath. No ground sheet but proper flooring and that bad made our one a home seem to be a single. It instantly brought a smile to our faces and we loved the quirkiness of the whole experience. The weather was hot during the day but at night the temperature dropped and being in a tent this was felt. No problem, a quick flick of the electric blanked and toastie warm again. Morning espresso coffee, croissant and a dip in the hot tub made the waking up experience bliss.
The actual wedding was fairy tale and the owners seem to encourage bespoke arrangements which makes brides happy. We were privileged to have a dinner for over 25 people the night before which was a great start to the event. You felt more of a guest in someones house rather than a hotel and this formula is a winner. The actual day was fun from end to end. Bagpipes, choir, live band and fantastic food provided by outside caterers. The fish and chips at midnight hit the spot.
All in all we had a fantastic time and the owners have the right balance between being authoritative to keep the show on the road and a truly personal caring attitude where nothing is too much trouble.
I wish our next wedding invite's venue will be Pentre Mawr as we want to go back

Room tip: Stay in the lodges (Tents) so much fun

The Venue for the wedding was jaw droppingly amazing. Beautiful stunning surroundings. Warm and welcoming friendly family took care of us all from the time we arrived. we was greeted by a member they took our luggage and us to our Tent!!!
We was left stunned and open mouthed by the "Tent" more like a 5* hotel, Huge bed fitted kitchen fully equipped, then she said they managed to fit a "small" bathroom and showed us the biggest bathroom we have ever seen so spacious, Free standing bath his and hers sinks (fully stocked) separate wc huge free standing shower, towels so thick and soft. Still stunned the best thing of all our very own Hot Tub up and ready to use. we were truly spoilt and it was so cheap.
Our Niece's Wedding was catered to a T, 5 course eve meal, amazing breakfast, amazing Wedding from start to finish but it as so relaxed but very well organised.
The thing was it was like we were just part of the family and we were spending with them. Thank you all

Room tip: Any room you stay in you will not be disappointed

We visited last weekend to attend a wedding - we didn't sleep at the venue but some of our family did.
They said it was fantastic - the staff were very friendly and helpful.
My father was given a birthday card by some of the staff (it was his birthday whilst he was there - it was not a random gesture!).
We ate there and the food was excellent.

We met Bre and Graham with our daughter who was planning her wedding and when not being plied with tea, coffee and bara brith we were given a full rundown of what they could offer to make the day and the stay as easy and enjoyable as possible. They recommended the excellent Marc Macauley to provide the food for the day and made us feel welcome from the start.
On the weekend the marvellous Lorna and her assistant Teitsommer (hope I've spelt that right) seemed to have been cloned- they were everywhere, always smiling and always helpful, so the day just passed in a happy blur in which we were enabled to get on with the serious business of enjoying a beautiful day.
The setting is lovely and the accommodation in the house and the lodge tents was really comfortable and we kept warm even though it was about 5 degrees outside.
Dinner on friday evening was a delight and the breakfasts were a delight, if a terror to the arteries but who could resist? Seconds? Thirds? Yes please!
The house is old and if there are one or two ever so slightly frayed edges the whole place is just a delight in a beautiful setting.
Superb

Room tip: All the rooms in the house were pretty luxurious and the lodges (tents) very well appointed
