Great place for a short stay, has everything you need for 2-4 people.
Small bistro courtyard and access to shared garden.
Local beach and restaurants are great, parking is £12 a day in the car park or free in a 5 min walk to the promenade.
Of the 3 places we have stayed in broadstairs, probably the best.
This place is really all about the location. We were there for Folk Week and the location could not have been better. Just a step away from all Broadstairs' amenities and the beach. Had everything we needed. A couple of minor things that I think would make it even better would be a full size wardrobe in the second bedroom instead of a child's one. It would then make it great for two couples as well as a couple with kids. Also, the cutlery could do with updating as we found that the handles got a few rust patches on them in the dishwasher.
I visited with my husband and two boys.
The Hideaway is in a great location, extremely close to everything.
The house is very cozy with comfy beds and all we needed.
At first I thought the garden was private with the house but then I realised it was separate and shared. The garden is lovely and we visited at a time we didn't use it so it was fine but I can see how some people might be confused. I think the wording 'private garden for residents ' is a bit misleading. Maybe changing it to something like 'shared private garden for residents in the terrace' would be better.
There are only a few places to park in the road , we were not able to get a space outside. This may bother some people. It didn't worry us, we parked for free on Eastern esplanade. If you don't want to park that far away there is a car park right near the apartment ( I'm not sure of times/prices)
I would certainly recommend this apartment. It was clean and cozy.
Broadstairs itself is lovely and feels very traditional.
Lovely cozy and comfortable stay at the Hideaway in fantastic Broadstairs. Great location for the beach and local eateries. Would highly recommend. Only drawbacks were lack of stair gate at top of stairs, noisy boiler and not much on street parking. Otherwise lovely maisonette with two spacious feeling and good sized bedrooms and a decent sized and fairly well equipped kitchen. Dining table is small to seat four but adequate. Access to shared garden across the street is a bonus. The owner Clare was really friendly and helpful.
Spent a week at the Hideaway with daughter and 2 young boys aged 6 and 4. They loved the house. It is a 10 minute at the most walk to Viking bay and a superb beach and in a very quiet area of Broadstairs. We were very lucky with the weather so went to the beach on most days. The accommodation was a very good size and was plenty large enough for the 4 of us. As the bathroom is on the ground floor, it was good to have a separate toilet upstairs. The beds were very comfortable. The washing machine and dishwasher were a bonus. Lots of books and dvds for the children and if you need a book, plenty for adults. Great to have wifi but it is a 'dead' area for mobiles. The small courtyard was nice to have a drink. Parking can be difficult in the road outside due to the number of residents. The description states unrestricted parking but there are double yellow lines half way up the road. 2 cars had parking tickets while we were there. I was disappointed to find that the shared garden was the other side of the road at the front of the property. One other niggle was the toaster as it is metal and not a cool touch and was very hot to touch when trying to get the bread out. I would stay there again.
