Anna-Lisa was the perfect hostess - very helpful in local tourist destinations, wineries & restaurants - even booked them for us. The most comfortable/soft bed of our trip so far. Nice, Italian breakfast every morning. Follow her directions on how to get to Porta Castellana - the GPS often gets lost in these narrow one-way streets. Great Restaurants in town, and excellent wineries nearby.
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- This house, with its massive stone walls, is situated in the north-eastern area of Montalcino, ancient city in the heart of Val d'Orcia (Orcia valley) also known as "Crete Senesi" (Sienese clays). This abode is part of one of the most important buildings of Montalcino's history, which used to be the city's mill. The mill's warehouse was where we now live and where the rooms are. ... more less
