We got married here and it was just incredible. All of our guests said it was the best wedding they had been to. From the boat ride over here to the ceremony, food, drinks and views. The ceremony was personal and just beautiful. We had our wedding here on a Monday as we could have exclusivity, Monday is the only day they won't open to the public, so perfect for a private wedding. We hired CLASS carrying for aperitifs and canapés. The food was plentiful and amazing.

Views are just stunning and so much to explore here. Amazing photo opportunities, well James Bond and Star Wars did film here.

I was treated to the most fantastic experience at Villa del Balbianello! We were brought by boat to Villa dei Balbianello for the wedding of two very dear friends. Upon arrival we were split into intimate groups and treated to private tours of the Villa. The tour guides were so enthusiastic and happy to have us. My goodness! The rooms, the history, the decor, the artifacts - some of the most rare items I have ever witnessed, together, all in one place! The grounds are just lovely and the views are impressive. My experience wasn't just special because of the wedding, I felt this way even amidst some of the heaviest rain I have experienced in some time. If the wedding guests could handle the terrain in heels, gowns and downpour, you can handle it in walking shoes on a sunny day! I felt like I was in a movie, a dream, throughout a memorable visit to Villa del Balbianello!

The views from the gardens and water taxi are stunning. We did not tour the villa but appreciated the short film shown in the loggia relating the last owner's (Guido Monzino's) life and use of the villa. We walked from the ferry dock to the gardens, a pleasant but uphill trek. Returning, we took the water taxi from the gardens to a spot near the ferry dock. As many people have noted, the gardens are lovely but I had expected them to be a bit more extensive.

The garden is beautiful and the house is very interesting. It was expensive for what we got and the tour was very rushed. We had to leave one room before the next group came in. Villa Carlotta is much more interesting.

A great place to visit, especially if you are a James Bond or Star Wars fan. The villa is not open on Mondays or Wednesdays.

The beginning of Casino Royale was filmed on the lawn here and apparently a part of Star Wars was filmed on the balcony too.

Quite a long walk, which is nice but steep in places, to get up to the Villa if you go by boat. You can get a water taxi too. We paid to just go in the gardens and felt it was a fair price, there was enough to see.

The gardens are lovely and beautifully kept. Lots of lovely photograph opportunities.
