Me and my sister visited the Belair Beach Hotel at the back end of August this year. This was our first girls holiday and we couldn’t of been happier with the location and hotel we had picked. The sea view from our room was lovely, and the bus stop just outside reception made it very easy to get in and out of the town centre for very cheap!

The staff were all very friendly and check in and out was very smooth. We stayed all inclusive and thought this was brilliant. The food did become a bit repetitive as the week went on but for the price we paid we expected nothing less.

The only down fall for us was the lack of entertainment. Although the hotel did provide some entertainment, it wasn’t every night and unless we wanted to head into the town centre or just sit at the bar, there wasn’t an awful lot to do.

Stayed: November 2017

We stayed here for a week in June. Our room was really nice, a newly refurbished one with a sea view balcony. The beds were made up by the maids most days but I wasn’t happy when one of them tried to come in at 8:30 in the morning. I understand they have lots of rooms to get through but it’s not very relaxing when you’re woken up early especially after a night of all inclusive drinks!!

The pool area was nice, although it says you’re not supposed to reserve beds everyone does (by stupid o’clock!). The pool was clean and the pool bar was well stocked.

Drinks were limited to local liquor, beer and cocktails which tends to be the norm for hotels of this standard. We didn’t try the wine.
A/I ends at 11pm so we were surprised when the bartender refused to serve us at 10:55 (in all fairness we did have drinks on our table but wanted to stock up!). He did turn out to be friendly in the end though.

Food was average and being vegetarian I struggled some days. The meat dishes looked amazing and my partner enjoyed them but unfortunately choice was very limited for me. Breakfast was always delicious as there were hot foods, pastries, cereals and fruit. Lunch was normally okay but choice was limited and dinner was much the same. The staff in the restaurant were friendly enough though it did sometimes take a while to be served with drinks because they were so busy. There was also a problem with flies in the restaurant. We ate out a couple of times but that was down to me getting bored of the veggie options.

The location of the hotel is great, it’s a ten minute walk if you turn left to lots of bars and shops. To the right is a longer walk to Rhodes town but we couldn’t cope with this in the heat so opted for a taxi. There’s an excursions place next to the hotel which is good value. We did the Lindos boat trip which was a amazing. The beach opposite is nice but the sea can be very choppy. Try and use the underpass to cross the main road as it’s so busy.

Overall I think this hotel is great for a week long cheap and cheerful but I think if I stayed any longer I’d have to eat out a few more times.

We arrived at the Belair Beach on the 1st Oct around 11:30pm, check in was effortless. The all in had finished at 11pm however we got our first drink free! I have recently been diagnosed with Coeliac so was a little apprehensive....well there was just no need, ALL the dining room/kitchen staff were amazing, gluten free good was labelled and if there was something I couldn't eat they cooked it for me GF. Ellios(Barman) was ever so friendly and made us so welcome each evening, even the hotel manager(George) tried his had at serving drinks. All in all what a lovely place and the hospitality was effortless! I would go back to this lovely place again
