The staff are fantastic (massive shoutout to Denae and Dennis for their awesome recommendations and help booking a car, excursions, etc), the view of the caldera is stunning, the location in Firostefani is perfect, the room beautiful and comfortable, and the breakfast delicious (I agree...best Greek yogurt ever). Expensive, yes, but most hotels in Santorini are a little pricey. The wifi wasn't the best, but we found that to be true around the island. It feels more like a small boutique hotel or B&B than a regular hotel. Loved it!

What a great find! This place offers incredible value for the price. Valseles (sp?) was so friendly as we arrived at 7am before the town was awake but he was here starting to clean up for the day and gave my wife and I a room to nap in until breakfast was served and we could speak to a receptionist. Keep in mind this is a small town feel more like an inn or bnb but that’s what makes the experience. He then invited us for breakfast even though we were not checked in which was nice. Shen they were ready Dennis checked us in way early as a room was opened up early. The best part was that they wanted to get us in a room early so they put us in an upgraded room (standard to cave) but the best part was that they said they would put us in a private villa house on our last night. OMG. What a great deal and kind staff. Definitely recommended unless you’re expecting a pretentious luxury type of hotel. Hope this review helps!

We were upgraded to the Cave Room, which was, as the name suggests, cavernous (it could have slept 4 easily) and also very clean and well-kept. The room also came with a private downstairs area and upstairs deck, which we used a tonne and was fantastic. The breakfast in the morning on the main patio deck was great. Likewise, the view to the caldera was fantastic and more or less unobstructed from the main patio & cave room upstairs deck.
Areas to work on: the mattress was fairly hard and uncomfortable. The internet was infuriatingly slow and intermittent, which made it difficult to research and book things. And when I asked the hotel staff for recommendations (food, rental cars), they did not necessarily steer us to the best quality or price (I realized after later research), but rather, places where they likely had 'relationships' with existing vendors. Lesson: do your own research first.

Room tip: Get the Cave Room if you can.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Can't beat the views! The breakfast was really nice. I was traveling with my daughter who was a minor, we felt very safe. There were security cameras. Would def come back.

Room tip: Lots of steps!

Three rooms in the same price category but unfortunately they vary strongly. Ask for the room Mykonos to get the one with the best balcony.

We had another one with a tiny balcony and limited view in the caldera. 400€/night is just too much for that.
