We stayed here for part of our honeymoon.
It’s a surfer’s paradise!! The waves are constant but gently enough that you can still swim and enjoy the sea if you have no interest in surfing. Loads of places nearby to hire surfboards or get lessons.
The sand and beach area is clean, and you can rent sunbeds for about $10 a day. Otherwise, take you beach towel and laze for free!
Don’t miss the sunsets here!! It’s a sight not everyone can experience and something you’ll never forget.
Minor point is that there aren’t that many places to eat along the beachfront, you are kind of limited if you just want to grab a drink, or some food. There is a pizzeria at the Carmen end, and of course you can always find coconut vendors :-)
A few minutes walk away is Santa Teresa town and you can find everything you need here, from ATMs to cool shops, bars, pharmacy etc.
