Hopkins Inn was a decent place to stay in a dirty little village that does not have much going for it. I booked this place after I read all these raving reviews about what a gem Hopkins is .... and now I would suggest that you do not believe the hype! This B&B was located on the beach but the water is murky and there is always garbage washing up though the owners do try to keep it clean. The cabanas are cute and tiny with hard beds, little fridge, coffee maker, table chairs and private bathroom. It was clean and decent for where it is but maybe a bit over priced. The breakfast is sweet breads, fruits and juices which were good but too much sugar for my taste. When we arrived the lady owner Rita was very welcoming and was helpful during our stay but the male owner Greg was very reserved and somewhat odd. He was friendly with other guests and drive them around town, etc but we felt uncomfortable as he barely said anything more than hello. Not sure if we did something to offend but that was a downside to our visit. The maid was very nice and friendly and the dog was very cute and well behaved. Personally I would not recommend Hopkins Village or visit again but if you decide to go, Hopkins Inn is a decent centrally located place to hang out.
