This has been our local pub since we moved in to our house in 2009 however it’s reputation greatly improved in 2015 when syb took over and the food and feel of the pub has got better ever since! We’ve been here for food on several occasion particularly over Christmas and the food was outstanding especially the burgers, my husband had the minted lamb burger which looked and tasted insane and I had the seahorse burger which was also wonderful! My daughter ordered the coconut curry from the vegan menu, even though she’s not vegan, but said it still tasted just as good as a normal curry! Will definitely be keeping this our local and can also invite our other children that have their own kids due to the large play area and their dog as it’s dog friendly which is always a bonus! Overall very happy and always recommend to any locals looking for good food and company

Visited for lunch which was tasty and well presented - The only problem is it is more like a boarding kennel than a pub/ restaurant. You walk in the door and practically trip over half a dozen large smelly dogs lounging all over the floor, we went into the restaurant area to get away from them but one dog kept coming in and sniffing around then someone with a large dog walked through the room to go outwhile while we were trying to eat! Then the very smelly animal was let back in by an out of control child and slobbered all over the floor so the waitress who served the food was wiping it up! As I say ok if you love dogs but I don't.

My daughter booked for us to visit The Fighting Cocks for Mother's Day roast following attending a Baby shower there. We were warmly welcomed and treated to a glass of Prosecco. Food was very good, we both had the vegetarian option and it was nice to have something other than a nut roast on offer - had vegetarian parcel which was very tasty. They also have a good vegetarian and vegan menu.

Really enjoyed our lunch today - lovely food and a great atmosphere. There were 18 of us! We sat in the new extension which was really bright and warm. Sybilla & Baz and the team looked after us so well - thank you! Hope we weren't too noisy!
