“The Granary A must stay”
Reviewed 15 February 2016 for a stay in November 2015

Thank you for our stay at The Granary which I can highly recommend. The apartment has been converted and furnished to a high specification with great views overlooking the central paved square and onward over the harbour. There are two good sized bedrooms, a large open plan kitchen, lounge, dining area, all with great character.... big oak beams, cast iron posts and some exposed original brickwork, which gives a hint of the buildings former life. There is also a generous sized bathroom and all has an excellent standard of cleanliness. A great relaxing atmosphere where we were able to shut the door to the outside world after a busy day exploring and enjoy the peace and quiet. The apartment is set in a large impressive historic building overlooking the naval docks & local harbour where you have a superb view of various sized naval and pleasure boats plus HMS Victory. HMS Warrior and the Spinnaker Tower. We found we were a short walk to the Millennium Bridge, a bascule bridge (which means drawbridge) which leads to the Explosion Museum or a short 10 minute walk into the town centre and the ferry allowing easy access to Portsmouth with the Historic Naval Dockyard & Gunwharf Quays a few minutes walk from the ferry the other side. All in all a great property and a great stay. Many thanks - Gary & Sonia, November 2015
