I chose Chinchon as base of operations for daily trips to the surrounding cities of Madrid where I could return to a peaceful area. It did not disappoint . There is a reason why many Madrid residents come to Chinchon as a weekend getaway. The staff was very kind. The rooms were large with very quite views of the courtyard which I recommend. The rooms and facilities were extremely clean and tidy. The outside courtyard seating area is colorful and relaxing.

One night stop on way South as location was easy travelling distance from early afternoon arrival on ferry into Bilbao.

Easy enough to find and underground garage a real boon although takes some negotiating if you drive anything bigger than a super mini.

Good sized room that was a little old-fashioned in terms of decor but no complaints at all as very clean, excellent air-conditioning and very good value for money.

Plenty of restaurants within 5 minutes walk and if you're wary of being ripped off in a tourist trap then The Terrace directly opposite the hotel serves pizzas, wraps and simple hot meals at very good prices!

Stayed overnight on way back from Southern Spain for ferry. Great stopover in medieval town avoiding business of Madrid. This was our last night in Spain, and what a bonus! Fiesta with a procession, a bull run which ran straight past the front of the hotel - watched from balcony in 2nd floor sitting room, and then a fireworks display. Chinchon is a lively little town with many bars and restaurants surrounding the central plaza, and I'm sure would be a great night out on any night, but this was brilliant, true Spanish culture. The hotel staff told us all about the events and timings and were extremely helpful. Good breakfast and comfortable clean rooms - would definitely stay again - thankyou.

Have stayed here previously on a number of occasions and have never been disappointed.

It is an ideal place if you are going to/from Madrid airport, but also, there is plenty to do in the village and surrounding areas for a longer break.

The hotel is very comfortable and competitively priced.

Comment has been made about the lack of wi-fi in rooms, but when we stayed it was perfectly adequate (suggest ask for a front room above reception!).

There is a lovely lounge area for guests to unwind in and the outside garden areas are lovely if the weather is good.

The breakfast is more than adequate being continental offering a wide variety of cereals, meats, cheeses, breads and cakes.

There is a great bar/restaurant directly opposite the hotel which, in my view, is the best place in town!

Enjoy a great break in this lovely medieval village.

Room tip: Front/above the reception for better wifi access

We decided to overnight in Chinchon on the way to airport, to reduce traffic problems etc.
We arrived to hotel and receptionist advised how to get to parking garage, which is under the hotel, making it convenient.
Staff at check-in welcomed us warmly and spoke well English. Later another receptionist didn't speak that well.
Room was on the first floor, windows towards inner yard, which looked very nice, especially at summer. Quite standard room, comfortable beds. Bathroom offers normal amenities, like shampoo, conditioner and soap. Just wonder why in the bathroom window frame has two holes directly to outside. I guess it is for fresh air, but at night bathroom is freaking cold. Another odd thing was WiFi. Room should have free network, but it was not accessible. According to receptionist (not very good English), the Wifi is only available at Lobby. Room has reasonable amount of power sockets to charge phones and laptops.
Breakfast is good value. It offers cold components like ham, cheese and hot toast. Also basic juice is available, but the freshly squeezed is against fee.
As a summary it is good value and nice village.

Room tip: Closest to Reception still has Wifi from Lobby..
