We really enjoyed our stay at Batle de Bonavista. With its secluded location & gated pool we felt comfortable to allow our nearly 4 year old daughter to play outside around the villa without constant supervision. She loved the little swing which kept her entertained whilst we got ready to go out, all resulting in a relaxing holiday. We would describe the villa itself as rustic & practical rather than comfortable. It was rather dark & cave like inside which we discovered, although not the most comfortable, was great for staying cool for a good sleep on hot nights (the daytime temperatures were in 30s, night in early 20s degrees celesius). Lack of comfort did not spoil our stay as with the stunning views, nice pool & plentiful seating outside, when not sleeping, we spent all our time outside. You can actually see the sea from the villa & there are a number of white sand beaches between 10 to 30 min drive. The port at Porto Cristo was our favourite place to go in the evening with a relaxed atmosphere, active, but not too busy. You definitely need a car to stay here & the dirt track (which is quite steep & bumpy) to the villa could do with the vegetation trimming back - best to get a decent car. We brought our own travel cot for our 10 month baby, however, the owner did ask us if we needed a cot, so worth checking to see if one can be provided. There is a high chair at the property. St Salvador looks over the villa which looks spectacular from the pool. Worth a drive up & see if you can spot the villa from top! Overall, a great holiday.
