We stayed in Falcon Nest for 5 nights. We were met upon arrival by the owners mother. The home is located in a small hamlet Falcoeiras. The property has been renovated and the bedrooms are a good size and comfortable. When we stayed in the area the weather was extremely hot 45c .This home did stay very cool, the farm style kitchen gives you room to prepare meals and enjoy sampling some of the wine the area has to offer. The hamlet is located near a larger town Reguengos de Monsaraz that is a short drive away.Here there are a few large grocery stores and restaurants. We frequented the leisure centre as it has a amazing 50 meter outdoor swimming pool. . The area of Alentejo is know for many things wine, marble, megaliths, hill top towns, castles, lakes and Evora . Was stationed in Evora for work for three months and stayed here the whole time with my wife and three young kids. It worked out very well for the kids since the house has a nice backyard and basically four bedrooms (three bedrooms + TV room with door that you can set up a cot or bed in). Shopping at nearby Reguengos is a five minute drive for almost everything you need. House is in good condition, fully furnished with almost everything you need except entertainment.

Overall the atmosphere is great for this house, but as a base to visit Evora and around it is quite remote, except if you only intended for nature.
