Chef Andrea personally greeted us when we ate here 10 days ago. He explained the ingredients in each dish which were all excellent. The gnocchi with truffles was superb. As was everything else, the boned quail, venison, beef filet , even the amuse bouche of leek soup and cream. We ordered two excellent and very reasonable priced bottles of Castello di Ama rose which was a great accompaniment on what was a very warm fall day. This is one of the best restaurants we have eaten at in Tuscany - and we have visited a number on our annual visits to Chianti over the last four years. The restaurant is about a kilometre out of Gaiole and you need to keep your eyes peeled for the sign and sharp left turn up a farm lane. But, what a treat!
