We came across this place on our way to Aroma and after reading some positive reviews we decided to give it a try. We took the starter which is amazing value. There's so much food (in fact even too much for two, especially the vegetables) and it's all great quality. After my ravioli dish was great and my husband loved his risotto. There was no room for dessert but there were some interesting options. The only slightly negative point was that at times the service was a bit lacking but we had a very positive experience. We'll definitely come back.

-Location: 3/5 (characteristic farmhouse)
-Menu: 4/5 (vast selection of Trentino region dishes)
-Service: 4/5 (friendly and nice)
-Price quality: 4/5 (good price quality ratio)

We ordered mixed cold cuts and cheese for appetisers, dumplings as fist dishes, baccalà and pork shank as second dishes. Finally, we ordered an excellent strudel. Dishes were tasty and elaborated, portions were large, and most of ingredients were locally sourced. Definitely recommended

We were intrigued by this restaurant's unusual menu (especially for the region), so we decided to check the place out. My wife ordered the venison platter, while I had the "Tiroler plate".

My drink (Coke) was very close to its expiration date; a day or two away. As it didn't taste unusual, I didn't make anything of it.

The owner served us a complimentary dish of bruscetta with sun dried tomato. I'm still not certain if the bread was actually oven baked, or just plain old bread. It tasted very funny. For some reason, the owner decided to take away our plate of bruscetta before we even finished.

When the main plate arrived, the first thing we noticed is that my wife got a different plate than what she ordered (fish instead of venison). She didn't make any issue of it, though, and dug in, as did I with my own plate. My wife's plate was okay, nothing special. My "Tiroler plate" however was dreadful. Every bit of it tasted like it was far past its expiration date. I took one bite of the beans, and nearly gagged at the taste of it. There was some sort of deep fried cheese with it, but this was inedible simply because it was swimming in its own grease. Disgusting. I only took a few bites before I stopped eating altogether.

The owner came again, whisked away the plates without so much as a word and brought us the bill. I felt sick to my stomach for the remainder of the day, so I'm fairly certain the served food had gone bad.

Stay away from this place at all costs.

Your photo does not confirm your review , but ... it is clear that it is a good dish and probably you that day you were unwell but not our fault .

Piatto Tirolese: typical tirol dish: typical smoked ham from the Alto Adige, paper-thin
slices of pickled beef with and tyrolese parmesan cheese, grilled cheese, würstel sausage, grilled bacon, potato croquette, smoked sausage, polenta (corn-meal porridge) and beans
The meats are sliced at the time, the carpaccio is salmistrato, the cheese is grilled at the time, I made potato rosti on hot dogs and baked bacon, polenta passed baked beans are made in a pan with a fried onion, shaded with red wine and tomato (this is the sauce, no oil or butter)
look at pictures !!

We wonder how you ever feel bad since you've hardly eaten anything , even if the owner has asked several times ... you all the times you said with a smile "all OK"

Given the difficulty of communication , if it was not to your liking , you were wrong to order , it was enough to say it, we proceeded to change the dish without charging additional costs .

Foreigners are always welcome in our local.

Bocconcini di baccalà al forno, salt cod with apple, salad of cabbage and polenta
Bocconcini di cervo, morsel of venison deer with mushrooms and polenta
As for your wife , the English menu says :
Bocconcini di baccalà al forno, morsel salt cod with apple , salad of cabbage and polenta
Bocconcini di cervo, morsel of deer venison with mushrooms and polenta
Maybe it is confused , a language of our accomplices : morsel , morsel ... . I do not know , you put yourself on the side of reason.

The owner without a word , yes , even you without a word but very good at writing on Tripadvisor !!
Before writing it would be useful to look at the other reviewers , of 190 users , you probably love our kitchen, maybe they are all stupid ??
Finally , writing that he had food poisoning , and to stay away from this place at all costs implies responsibility , we must be careful what you write .
We ask that your review will be revised and corrected , thank you.

Very good food! Its one of the best places around Lago Maggiore.
I'll go back soon for sure.
The dishes they offer are something you can't find in any other place; not the typical pasta, nor the typical meat, ..just better.
The dessert, amazing.

We stopped in for lunch on a weekday afternoon so it was very quite and we had the whole place to ourselves. The service was friendly and prompt and the food was well prepared and of high quality. Prices are sligtly higher than the other restaurants that we visited for lunch but when considering the size of the portions and the quality, still great value for money!
