The hotel is situated in a beautiful location with beautiful views , I can’t emphasise how wonderful all the staff are , very friendly and helpful , however I’ll be totally honest the exterior of the hotel looks very tired and so do the majority of the grounds , the pool area is lovely and well kept , now I know my a la Carte from table d hote , the food in my opinion is poor , Luke warm and non descript , pasta with lobster sauce ( no lobster ) pasta with crab sauce ( no crab ) , mushy fish like it was a frozen portion reheated , now I’d assume being in a 4 star sensimar hotel in Italy I’d get great coffee , not the case , tasteless cheap liquid , the bread was lovely , can’t really think of any other food that was lovely though , on a better note the cocktails were excellent , juancarlos really could make a great cuba Libra , Sorrento is a nice little town and the hotels complimentary bus was a real bonus , Pompeii really worth a visit and if your in to history , a fascinating experience , 25 mins on the train from Sorrento and costs 7 euros each return , to get in to the Pompeii site costs 15 Euros each , half Tui s excursion prices , after we had changed rooms...The hotel is situated in a beautiful location with beautiful views , I can’t emphasise how wonderful all the staff are , very friendly and helpful , however I’ll be totally honest the exterior of the hotel looks very tired and so do the majority of the grounds , the pool area is lovely and well kept , now I know my a la Carte from table d hote , the food in my opinion is poor , Luke warm and non descript , pasta with lobster sauce ( no lobster ) pasta with crab sauce ( no crab ) , mushy fish like it was a frozen portion reheated , now I’d assume being in a 4 star sensimar hotel in Italy I’d get great coffee , not the case , tasteless cheap liquid , the bread was lovely , can’t really think of any other food that was lovely though , on a better note the cocktails were excellent , juancarlos really could make a great cuba Libra , Sorrento is a nice little town and the hotels complimentary bus was a real bonus , Pompeii really worth a visit and if your in to history , a fascinating experience , 25 mins on the train from Sorrento and costs 7 euros each return , to get in to the Pompeii site costs 15 Euros each , half Tui s excursion prices , after we had changed rooms ,I couldnt fault the room , really nice , no English tv though , just nice to catch the news now and again, maybe my expectations were too high , but I’ve travelled a lot with Tui , 4 times last year mainly Spain , Majorca and Jamaica , I couldn’t fault those holidays but this one could have been so much better , poor food and scruffy hotel grounds , I know in the uk , restaurants have to keep there food at a constant temp to avoid bacteria definitely not kept at a high temperature at this hotel , how can this be different in Italy ?? A feel this isn’t complaining but a basic health and safety requirement , would I go back unfortunately I have to say no , I don’t like spending hard earnt money and throwing up like I was going to pass out !!!More
