This is a beautiful barn conversion with lovely decor and many original features. Lots to look at in the house, and if you like cooking on a range, you'll be happy. The views from the living room and bedroom windows are amazing. The bed is very comfortable and the place is quiet at night. Our dog enjoyed the garden (which is not dog proof, but fine for a well-behaved dog), and we were able to BBQ most nights as the weather was good. It would be really good to have direct access to the garden rather than through the gate off the road, for practical purposes (carrying trays down to the terrace, etc). The internet connection is excellent, and the fact that there isn't a TV didn't bother us at all, on the contrary, it was nice to read or just look out the window (bats over the garden in the evenings). The village itself is interesting to walk around, and there are many nice towns, lakes and chateaux to see nearby. The Burgundy Canal is not far, so if you enjoy walking or cycling, without the effort of hills, this is also an option (we walked around the Lac des Settons, also flat). Last but not least, I have to mention the owner of the house. A lovely lady, so interesting to talk to and full of local knowledge. She has made a very comfortable "feel good" home from home.
