Let's start with the apartment: We had Apt 1 & 2 (with lockable inter-connecting door) each with own terrace complete with furniture - spacious, clean, air conditioned. View onto pool area and quick access to bar/car park . All linen changed and room cleaned every 3rd day. There is also a children's pool.
Now the location: The Rantzo is on the B6 (A Road) with access just off the A6 (Motorway/Highway). It is almost exactly half way (40km, 25 minutes) to Paphos (including airport) in the west and Limassol in the east. About 1 hour to Nicosia. Supermarket and pharmacy are within walking distance, approximately 1km. Pissouri Village and Pissouri Bay (in opposite directions) are about a 5 - 7 minute drive away. Do not miss visiting either of these places. You will need your own transport but with it, this is an ideal location for access to the entire island of Cyprus. NB. we covered approximately 1300 kilometres in 2 weeks. You are also within a 20 minute drive away from the sights of Aphrodite's Rock, Apollo's Temple, the Roman ruins at Kourion, Aphrodite's Temple in Kouklia Village (the village is highly recommended - great food at great prices and incredibly friendly folk) and several other sites of interest, including numerous beaches, Tavernas, restaurants, etc.
If you're from the UK, driving here is easy, left had side and all signage very similar to UK but without the stress.
NOTE: despite the proximity to the A6 motorway, noise intrusion is absolutely minimal unless you are extraordinarily sensitive. Some in AM, some in PM but nothing noteworthy in between. You cannot really hear anything when inside apartment with double glazed doors/windows shut.
Now to Panikos the proprietor and the staff: I recommend you read the other reviews including the European ones (use Google Translate if you must!!!). I cannot disagree with the previous reviewers. Panikos is a truly nice chap, who ensured we were kept informed by email before we arrived with directions, full contact details and other useful information just prior to our arrival. Incredibly welcoming with an open attitude once we were there. Nothing ever seemed to be 'too much'.
The last point is a general observation about Cyprus: we travelled with an under 2 who started teething. Everywhere we went the child was catered for and never seen as problematic. This is a very child friendly country.
