This place is really close to main street. Hot showers.varied breakfast choices included and really good sized portions. The staff are helpful and even opened up for breakfast half hour early for me so i could catch my bus. Good roms with moszie nets. Cannot fault it.

We loved the stay at Sun Top Inn. The woman who ran it was so kind and warm and was so refreshing to meet an owner that really cares about the guests. The breakfast was amazing there were 4 choices and you get some good variety for the Sri Lankan breakfast over other hotels (hoppers - sometimes but you also get roti, jam, a pancake, curd and juice). The location was good just behind the Main Street and very close to train station. You wouldn't want to be too close to main road as there is loud music playing all night. The rooms were ok, had nets and the bathroom was about average but the attitude of the family who owned it and breakfast made up for it. Also the breakfast is served in the garden which is beautifully decorated with a water fountain which is such a lovely spot to eat. There are also great communal areas outside the rooms with couches and chairs and a great spot to chill and watch the sunset.

We stayed 2 nights and will not come back again. Most of us had cold showers. Rooms did not get cleaned/refreshed during our stay. Barking dogs and loud music from the center made it difficult to sleep due to open air construction. Beds are good but everything else is rather oldish and in disrepair. For the same price we found better accommodations without mold in the bathrooms !

Great location - quiet and peaceful but still close to the action on Main Street and very handy for train station. Lovely room, very clean and comfortable communal areas, very good breakfast, and very hospitable/helpful staff, eg info on walks, trains, buses etc. Ended up extending my stay by a couple of nights, because of all the above and great value (LKR 3000 per night for four night stay

This lovely guesthouse is a 2-minute walk from the busy main road near a shortcut to the railway station. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The room had awesome, clean purple sheets - a nice change from dingy white. Had a lovely fruit plate with curd for the included breakfast.
