The overall experience was great. The house itself was beyond my expectations. the property is in a fully gated community, therefore, no outsiders. The house is fully furnished, with all kitchen utensils and bathroom toiletries was fully stocked. I wasn't expecting that and I didn't need to bring my own. But it's better to be safe than sorry. The laundry was there ready for use, but I didn't bother to use it. Who does laundry on vacation? that's what the empty suitcase is for! lol. The owner, Denton, is great to work with. He is straightforward and access to the key was no problem.
The house is very clean and comfortable. Well ventilated. I just opened the windows in the daytime. Both bedrooms have air condition and a ceiling fan. There's a ceiling fan in the livingroom as well. I never really used the A/C because the house was quite cool plus the time of year I went was Dec 2014-January 2015 and Jamaica is cooler during at those times. At night was comfortable. Maybe a few humid nights, but really didn't use the A/C for it, just kept the ceiling fan going.
I did everything myself (including cooking) which I didn't mind. It cuts down on purchasing street food all the time. Besides, at all inclusive how much food and drinks can u eat in a day anyway.
The house is within close proximity of Falmouth Square (downtown Falmouth) about 15 mins drive. The beach is there. I live for the beach, not into touristy stuff, rather see stuff on my own or do what the locals do.
There is a tuck shop at located at the back of the security gates, but that's not open late.
I totally recommend this place. Although I came with friends, I would definitely rebook again by myself. I was more concerned about security but you know what, you just have to be an alert traveller and be very street savvy.
Montego Bay is 20-30 mins drive to the Airport. Kingston is about 2.5 - 3 hours drive from there depending on the routes you take and where you are going in Kingston. The rural areas (country i.e, Manchester, Clarendon) takes about same time as Kingston all depending on the route you take.
It's a nice house, I totally recommend it. I have recommended it to a friend and he stayed there for a few nights and loved it. I will be going back and staying there on my own knowing that I'm in close proximity of the main town and everything is secure.
