My friend and I walked part of the so called 'Umfassungsweg' around Delden in the east of the Netherlands. It is avery pretty area to go for walks and they are quiet and easy to walk. You pass several places to have a break or a snack and restaurant 't Hoogspel was our start and end station. We had parked our car there and did a 7k or so.
The restaurant has a large terrace where it is very pleasant to sit under big shady trees. I could not resist a piece of Dutch apple pie and it was as expected homemade and yummy!
The service was not the quickest but the apple pie and the outlook of the terrace made up for it. It was a Sunday afternoon and very busy but the staff seemed a bit unorganised.
It is good for families with kids as there is a nice large playground for the kids to play on.
