Spent 3 nights here in late May. The hotel is right in the centre of everything with it's own parking .Much needed in Bonifacio where parking is at a premium. We opted for the room with a private patio and spent time drinking wine and looking down on the harbour.Very relaxing and very nice to wake up to.Staff were very friendly and even drove us down to the ferry and would not accept any money.Breakfast was terrific and the pool area is very nice.It was a little chilly to go into the pool when we were there but on a hot day I can imagine the pool would be a very welcomed.Bonifacio is great to walk around and having the hotel in the centre ,or very close to it,was very nice.Would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel has a great location in the old town, we had an amazing view from our balcony. The room was a little basic, but clean and ok. I'm glad we paid significantly less than the €200 per night quoted by others though!

The pool area was very nice, in a unique setting within the walls. All the staff we encountered were very helpful, particularly the reception staff.

My only gripe would be the cost of breakfast, €20 each was way more than we were prepared to pay so we went to local cafes or patisseries each day.

As several other reviewers have noted this hotel doesn't really have 5 star quality. Perfect location and great pool atop a bastion, but our room was very dark and lacked the attention to detail that one expects from a 5 star place.
Don't get me wrong, its nice and the staff are friendly but €200 per night plus €20 per head for a buffet breakfast is pushing the envelope a little too far for me when compared with other places I've stayed in Corsica.
A note on the free parking. Its in a gated compound next to the entrance but you can't pull off the road as its just off a mini roundabout yet someone has to nip into reception to get the code. I suggest emailing in advance for the code or driving up the hill to park while you go in and get it.

While the location and views from this hotel are incredible it is time to redo the rooms. The hotel bills itself as a design hotel but it seemed like an excuse to have horrible beds, tired linen and somewhat sad rooms. It was a shame as the staff was helpful and the town of Bastia has some good places to tour and decent restaurants.

This hotel is over priced and trades on its wonderful position.

The staff were attentive and my complaint (about the pool not being heated in Cool weather) was noted and dealt with satisfactorily.

However, I do not recommend this hotel. There is no coffee / tea making facility in the room. The room we had was plain and really no better than a Premier Inn! Its saving grace was the small balcony, however it was overlooked by the road and meant that if in the bedroom, the curtains had to be closed. The shower had a design defect, a poorly fitted screen, which had not been remedied - so a towel was laid on the floor! There was no parasol for the terrace - this may be because of the hotel's exposed position - then design a different way to minimise the sun if required! Breakfast is NOT included and costs another £15 per person. We did inspect it and were not astounded by its quality. Maintenance generally was suspect, with poorly closing doors and windows.

On the plus side we were brought up from the ferry and did have a taxi ordered for us when we left!

I would advise all thinking about reserving a room to look carefully about Bonifacio for comparative accomodation.
