A park by the red beach where General McArthur landed to help liberate Philippines from the Japanese.
The park has a few memorials about but the main one is the one with General McArthur walking through the water with his men.
Plenty of grassy areas to sit around in but it does get quite hot and there is limited shade.

I was a bit shocked to finally see this area live. It really did look big in pictures but the real ones are medium sized and were placed in the middle of the park.

It would be really nice to visit this park late afternoon or very early morning. There is not much to do in the area than just take a picture of this historical area and maybe get an ice creme afterwards or rent a soldier costume before taking a picture.

Nice place to stroll after taking photos. Walking distance from the Oriental hotel at Palo , Leyte. You could also buy fresh buko juice at nearby kiosks after taking a walk.
