Just a few miles to Zion. Shuttle bus stops right in front of hotel for park access.
Room was clean. Staff was friendly and nice.
Pool was clean.
Bed was comfortable.
They have an on-site restaurant, gift shop and museum thing...

All nine of the people in our travel group fell in love with this lodge. The rooms were clean, we appreciated that the sink area was outside of the restroom, and the decor was lovely. All the rooms also have a balcony and chairs to sit outside and gaze at the red rock vista. The city was doing road construction that night and the hotel provided profuse apologies and ear plugs. We completely understood this was out of their control and it was really not that bad. All of us slept right through it. We had a great dinner and breakfast in the lodge restaurant and again, the views were just outstanding. So was the service. Our servers were incredibly accommodating both for our take out order for the kids (who stayed behind in our rooms) and during breakfast. The kids enjoyed their time at the pool (ages 5-16). Also, there is a shuttle that stops at the hotel and brings you directly to and from Zion. Very convenient. All in all, we had a busy two night stay at the Grand Majestic and found it to be equal parts friendly and peaceful. We all agreed we return in a heartbeat.

Stayed at this hotel for two nights as a part of a group trip to several National Parks. This was our favorite of the places we stayed. Rooms were rustically decorated with a great balcony to take in the Majestic View. Nice pool again with a lovely view. Enjoyed the museum.

It was okay. Seems the lodge had seen better days before it was purchased by a different owner. Food prices are not on par with area restaurants (Majestic Lodge is much more expensive)

Keep in mind that there isn't an elevator, so people with mobility issues would need to steer away from this hotel. Ditto on pets. Pets are a no-no.

Room tip: Be prepared to be taxed to the top. There is city, county, state, excise and other taxes

Springdale is the place to stay if you are visiting Zion National Park and you did not make reservations at the Park lodge months in advance. South of the Park, there is a strip of hotels that are serviced by a free park shuttle (insufficient parking space in the park). The Majestic View Lodge is the furthest away-- but it feels like a park lodge rather than part of a tourist strip. The rooms are decorated in rustic, natural wood doors. Each room has French doors to a patio that looks out onto the red mountains. The attached restaurant is really gorgeous, but also ridiculously expensive.
Right now there is construction on the road outside evenings 7-10 pm. The front desk offers free earplugs-- but they ought to offer a discount during construction.
