“Fantastic place to stay!”

We stayed with Eric and Donna on our honeymoon from Ireland. The cottage is beautiful, spacious with a large bedroom and bathroom. It has all the facilities of home. The bed is unbelievably comfortable. Yosemite is a beautiful place and well worth a trip. Our only regret is that we did not stay for longer!

“Great place to stay, peaceful, good location away from tourist areas, close enough for day trips to Yosemite.”
Reviewed 13 August 2011 for a stay in April 2011

My wife and I along with our 18 month old son stayed at the cabin at Donna & Eric's property. It is a perfect setup for a couple, or in our case, the three of us. We had asked ahead of time if it would be okay for our son and everything worked out fine. We used an inflatable toddler bed which fit in the large bedroom. Having a kitchen is great and not only saves on cost, but sometimes it is much nicer to relax at "home" and prepare your own meal rather than eat in a restaurant after spending all day at Yosemite. The large property was great and allowed our son to run and play whenever needed. We arrived late the first night after driving from LAX and Eric met us and even had a few beers in the fridge. Eric and Donna were great host. The location is good as you can drive to Yosemite from either the West, South or North entrances. Mariposa is a close town with a good grocery store, restaurants and other attractions. It would be a good idea to visit Yosemite during the week and relax at the cabin on the weekend as the amount of people and the traffic in the park is crazy on the weekends. There is also a small country store/gas station/restaurant within walking distance of the cabin. We definatley hope to return!

“The perfect spot!”
Reviewed 5 July 2011 for a stay in June 2011

We had the opportunity to stay in this great rental near Yosemite National Park. I can't say enough good things! The owners are great, very helpful and friendly, the cabin is cute, clean and perfect for a couple. We enjoyed quiet, the great grill and outside dining area, the wonderful bed and the fruit and muffins the owners left for us. We hope to visit again, you will not be disappointed if you sign up for this rental.

“Wonderful stay in this snug cottage”
Reviewed 4 June 2011 for a stay in May 2011

We recently spent a week at D&E Digs when we visited Yosemite. The cottage itself is next to the main house on several acres of land. The bedroom is quite large, with a comfortable Tempurpedic mattress and plenty of room to store clothes. There are lots of maps and books you can use during your visit. The kitchen is very well stocked and we used it every morning and most nights we were there. In the same room is the eating table and two comfortable chairs where you could read or watch TV. The TV also had VHS and DVD players so you could bring movies to watch. The WIFI is very fast and reliable. It rained all day one day, but the cottage was so comfortable that we didn't feel cooped up. The cottage itself is located between Oakhurst and Mariposa, both of which have restaurants and good grocery stores (as well as reasonably priced gas.) We took advantage of all of them. It is a little bit far from both the west and south entrances of Yosemite, so you have to plan to stay for the day once you get there. (That wasn't a problem for us.) The drive is gorgeous no matter which way you choose to go and we were grateful not to be surrounded by a bunch of people when we came "home" for the night. The property and surrounding area are also beautiful enough to enjoy if you don't feel like going into Yosemite. Donna and Eric are wonderful hosts because they are available if you have questions or need something, but they also give you lots of privacy if you want it. Also, they are both very friendly, so you don't feel as if you're imposing if you have questions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.
