“Watch out for extra booking costs!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 May 2012

Hotel was very nice. We really enjoyed our stay. The area is incredible. We booked on line thru the NPS Yosemite website and were charged 10% booking fee. On checking in, found we could have booked directly with the lodge and avoided the fee. 10% fee was charged not only on room cost, but also on all taxes and fees, and is non-refundable. At $244 per night, this certainly can add up quickly. Soooo, to avoid this exhorbitant fee, contact the hotel directly at 1-801-559-5000!!!!! And enjoy your stay.

Room Tip: All rooms appeared to be good. If you can get a view of the falls, even better

What a beautiful setting to have such an overpriced dump. Cobwebs in the corners and light fixtures. Holes in the sheets. Horrible mattress. Grime on the walls. Sticky carpet. There was even some kind of brown substance on the baseboard by the toilet. I really don't want to know what it was. We were told when we checked in we had a remodeled room. This thing was ancient. The bathroom sink and counters looked like they were at least 30 years old. For almost $250 a night this should be at least clean. And take your own food. The food choices at the lodge are not good. There's a food court which serves very expensive institutional food. None of it was cery good. There's a bar with a limited menu and a more upscale dining room but I was never in the mood to pay $17.50 for a burger. I realize that it's going to be expensive in a place like Yosemite but the National Park Service and DNC should be ashamed that they would allow one our country's premiere parks to be in this run down condition.

recognise was in park but for cost was overpriced, rooms look very tired and no kettles in rooms, if you want hot water you had to go the the lodge reception of cafe. Location is second to none but looks as if have captured market. Room had gaffer tape holding door to patio together, have stayed in better Motel 6s! The rooms on the internet look as if they are in a hotel, but are not, they are little blocks of cabins spread out in park, should be mucg clearer on interenet. Having said all that the location is AAAA+++++

Room Tip: Take a kettle!!, they do not tell you this in the information

We stayed at the lodge for 2 days. Check in was quick and hassle free, although check in is quite late at 5pm we managed to check in around 3pm. We had a balcony room with a view of the falls.

The lodge does show its age in style, but is very neat, clean and comfortable. Also knowing that we can lock the doors and be safe from wildlife is a relief! The room has all the amenities you would need, small fridge, small television, shampoo, soap etc.

The location is fantastic, short walk to the falls, and the rest of the valley floor.

We only ate at the food court, good selection, average sort of prices. All the staff through out the park were very friendly and informative. Be sure to take the drive to glacier point if you can, the views are spectacular.

I would most definitely stay here again, although be sure to book months in advance as they book out quickly.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that has a view of the falls
