I have been eating here for years, had not been in for about 5 years. Still as good as I remembered.

I have had chop suey at a lot of Chinese restauraunts. Oftentimes the vegtables are soft and dominated by celery. The sauce is bland to non-existent. At China chef the chop suey is perfect...everytime. The vegtables are crunchy and varied...carrots, celery, cabbage, water chestnuts, mushrooms and bean sprouts. The portions are extremely generous. And...the new owner has fixed up the rather humble dining room. A great place.
This place has been around for many years and although it has lasted that long, we stopped going for many years.
Friends told us that it had changed and was pretty good, so we thought we would give it another shot after such a long time without trying it. We were quite surprised at how good the food was and at a very reasonable price point.
The only drawback to getting dinner there, particularly with carryout, is the rice. They are very tight with giving out the amount of rice you would expect for a normal chinese dish. We are not rice fanatics, but you must order an extra portion of rice for there to be enough to go around with a few dinners.
Outside of that one caveat, this place is back for us and providing a great chinese dinner at a great price. I hope they keep it up this time, because we will be dining here a lot!
They have daily specials and many
other meals under five dollars
If you can't find what want it doesn't exist. Fast service dine in or carry out.
