What a fabulous hotel located right on the beach of Waikiki. The rooms are beautiful and very clean. You can see the staff cleaning all the time. Most importantly, the staff makes you feel so welcome and treated like royalty.
Would definitely stay here again.
A big thanks to Krystal at the front desk.
Breakfast is really good and the veranda is the place to sit.

Stayed here for 1 week from Australia, the Hotel is magnificent, the decor and history out classes anything else in Honolulu.
We stayed in a tower room on the 18th floor with views of Diamond Head and the ocean from our Lanai. Service at checkin was a little slow due to only 2 people working the desk, but the staff were friendly and accomodating to our requests.

Dining: we Dined at the Beach House restraunt, a little over priced at 95USD per head for 3 course fixed menu. ( although you could choose from a few diffrent options.
We had High Tea on the Veranda, Limited options for type of tea only Earl Grey, a variety of savory and sweet treats and some Scones but no Jam and Cream? they try hard but dont quite get the essence of a High Tea.

Drinks at the beach Bar was great views of the beach quick service, if you decide to eat here order the Chicken Wings ( yummy)

Room tip: Room in Tower on North Facing provide the best views of Diamond Head and ocean

Diamond oceanfront, double beds however are very comfortable, thin walls can hear from inside or outside but too sleepy/tired to be aggravated. bathroom small but really nice and clean, luv the wooden floorboards in the room by lanai with rocking chairs, gym smallish some treadmill machines & dark. Good open airflow around the hotel hallways and lobby, good coffee shop and loved the breakfast under banyan tree, soft sand by beach area, loved the food & music at nyt by beach bar. staff were nice and accommodating.

Room tip: good food, clean hotel, chill vibe

My husband and I along with our 2 teenage kids have just stayed at the Moana Surfrider Hotel on Waikiki. What a beautuful, elegant hotel. Staff could not have been more helpful and friendly, rooms great- we stayed in the Diamond Wing and the ocean view was spectacular. Special mention to Erma who serviced our room with a smile. Beds and pillows comfy which is important!

The hotel restaurants are good but very pricey- lots of more affordable options nearby.

We will definately be back to this grand first hotel of Waikiki.

Great location and lovely, historic structure, with
more modern towers built next door. We were in
town for a family wedding. We love visiting Oahu
and were excited for our first trip back since
Covid, but goodness what a disaster of a stay.

We had booked our rooms two months in
advance and several times had requested adjoining rooms. The second room for was for our toddler son (he is a light sleeper and won't sleep well if we're in the same room). Upon check-in, they
ended up giving us two rooms what were across
the hall and several doors down. We were not
about to leave our toddler in there alone, so my
husband and I slept in separate rooms. I had to
sneak into my son's room every night and arrange
a pillow fort so he couldn't see me from his crib.

The thing is, our request for an adjoining room for our young son was not difficult nor complicated. And we requested this at least two months in advance. Never in my life have I been compelled to write a review here, but any parent with young kids can probably understand our frustration with this situation. They comped us a microwave so I guess that's fair? What a joke.

The other disappointment was the hotel wedding
coordinator. I was tending to my son near the
reception area and overheard my cousins talking
to the coordinator about an entire table missing
from the dinner. AN ENTIRE TABLE. Her response?
"Can they find other seats?" I was horrified. The
bride and groom were unaware, but please,
please really interview the staff if you're planning
a wedding here.

My two stars are for the lovely housekeeping,
valet and bellhop staff. They are the heartbeat of
that establishment. Rowena and Janet from housekeeping became like family by the end of our trip.

Room tip: Valet parking only, $55/night. Wi-Fi is free but slooow.

Aloha Pioneer61648497153,

Mahalo for choosing us while you were here to attend a family wedding and for taking the time to tell us about your stay with us. We are truly sorry for not being able to accommodate your request for adjoining guestrooms, and we regret the frustration or inconvenience caused. We appreciate your patience and will use your comments to enhance and maximize our guest services. Furthermore, we apologize for the occurrence with the wedding coordinator. We have shared your concerns with the appropriate individuals to ensure we focus on providing a meaningful experience.

On a positive note, we are glad to know you loved our dynamic beachfront location and historic architecture, including our beautifully designed landscaping. It is also a pleasure to read you were pleased with our intuitive associates, and we will certainly relay your compliments to the team members you mentioned.

We are grateful for your feedback and hope you and your family will give us another chance to make a favorable impression.
