We stayed at the Ilima for six nights after returning from the week-long NCL four-island cruise. On the whole, we loved our suite (1101). I was surprised at how quiet it was (especially since I'm a light sleeper) despite being above a busy street and right next to the elevator. We had only two significant complaints. The first was that, when the hot water was turned on—even low, it made a loud shuddering noise. My partner said this wasprobably due to an air lock in the pipes. We were in a hurry checking out so we didn't have a chance to alert the front desk to this problem.( Hopefully, it's been addressed.) The second concerned the metal tray under the air conditioning unit on the lanai. We sat out there on a few occasions, but this thing didn't look like it had been cleaned in a very long time. It was full of deposits (grunge) and moss. I'm only glad that my niece and nephew visited us in the evening because I would have been embarrassed if they had seen it.
