This hotel is close to virtually everything you need in Waikiki. It is not the most up to date in terms of fixtures and finishes, and the restaurant breakfast option is so early we never used it, but our room was quiet (helped being high up and above the street) and we had all that we needed: there was an iron, mini fridge, wifi, cable tv, and there is a washer and dryer down in the main lobby area. I like that the shower / tub was the type where you can sit on the edge and just spray the sand off your feet without committing to a complete shower. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I thought the place was over priced for the hotel type, and I suspect this was related to the high tourism season, but it was one of the best deals we could find and it was serviceable.
If you have a car with you, make sure to talk to the staff about the parking options. It works out to be $20 daily with their validation, but definitely ask first as to how it works (we did not understand the first day we used the lot and ended up being too late to get validation the first day). The validation for the nearby lot is better than their valet option. You can find cheaper street parking options if you are willing to park some blocks away at the appropriate times, but we used the lot most days.More
