This is the 3rd tower we have stayed in and of the 3 is the worst due to the extremely long wait times for the elevator. Fortunately we were only on the 11th floor and are capable of going up and down 11 flights of stairs. It's definitely a daily work out so didn't bother going to Koko Head. Check in was a nightmare since nowhere in my confirmation did it state that I am supposed to check in directly at the Lagoon Tower so I waited in line in the wrong area.

SUITE
We stayed in a 1BR Suite facing the marina and the hotel across so we can see 4th of July fireworks. However, the noise of screaming children from 11 floors down at the waterslide made for a noisy room. We made the request to see fireworks but would definitely be more precise in our request to face the Rainbow tower rather than the marina. Our suite was very dark and cold. The bathroom is extremely small for 3 people and the kitchen felt like I was in a closet. The living room was unwelcoming and the sofa hard to sit on and was only good as a sofa bed.

WIFI
Wifi does not work in the balcony. However, they fail to tell you that.

HOUSEKEEPING
Kudos to them! Keep up the good work!

I absolutely do not recommend the Lagoon Tower especially if you're paying $512/night not including resort fees and taxes.

Aloha. Thank you for staying with us in Waikiki. Thank you also for kind words for our housekeeping. As you noted, during busy times, the elevators get rather busy for which we apologize. We look forward to your next visit.

My family and I stayed in a 2 bedroom in the Lagoon Tower. We had a view of the ocean/lagoon on one balcony, while the 2nd balcony overlooked the parking garage luau (fun to watch). The room was a great size, however, I was told the 2nd bedroom would have double beds and it only had twins. This was a problem because there were 7 of us. My youngest daughter wound up sleeping in the king bed with my husband and I since they would not provide a roll-away citing fire code laws. This resort is like a mini city. We enjoyed Duke's Lagoon where my teens rented aquabikes and paddleboards. We rented an umbrella and chairs one day. The beach was crowded, but not overwhelming. My girls didn't like the beach as much-it is very rocky here. We preferred the beaches on the east side of the island (Kailua, Lanikai). The Friday night fireworks were cool but quick and mobbed (think Disney), however we could see them right from our balcony. They have self-parking and charge like $40 a day-just factor that into your budget. Overall, it was a good stay.

If you are not an owner at this location don't expect to get the diamond head side. They say they other side is ocean view but you see an ugly high rise if you are in a one bedroom. Staff just going through the motions. Very disengaged

Aloha, thank you for staying with us on your recent trip to Hawaii. I apologize you were unhappy with your view. Being located in Waikiki, which is a part of the city of Honolulu, some of our views include other hotels and buildings. We try our best to provide guests with views they will enjoy within the category they have reserved, but we aren't able to accommodate everyone. We hope on your next visit, we can provide you with a view you will enjoy.

I have been to Waikiki many times and this was the nicest place I have stayed. The rooms were beautiful and the view so nice!

It was also great to have access to the full facilities of Hilton Hawaiian village of which there are many. This is a huge family hotel so maybe not great if you don't like thousands of kids running around but I think this comes with the territory.

It has direct access to a really lovely swimming beach and also one sand bottom pool you can rent kayaks and peddle boats. Really unique and fun. It's also cool that there is some wild life like fish ponds and parrots through the complex. Also a huge selection of restaurants and shops. You really don't have to leave the complex if you don't want to and still have a great time.

The front desk staff were really nice and helpful but the ancillary staff not so much. Found it pretty difficult to get things done through the concierge staff and they seemed pretty grumpy like we were a burden for asking for restaurant reservations. I also found out they were meant to give us a welcome gift but didn't realize until it was too late. I feel like they should have asked if we had received this. Also, we asked the bell desk staff for directions to the trolley or bus stop and they refused to tell us and kept trying to convince us to get a taxi. We were heading only to ala moana mall and ended up just walking out of frustration. Seemed like maybe they are getting pay offs from taxi services and this should be looked into.

Other than those minor things we had a really nice stay and would recommend the Kalia Tower to our friends.

Love the resort, love the lagoon tower and the staff. it doesn't get any better then the front desk, resort management and bell staff. Resort Managers, Steve, Aikiko & John will work to ensure all your comforts and satisfaction are met. The front office staff, Lynn, Grace, Yumi, Shirkiro & Toshie to name a few are nothing short of perfection. Thank you for an amazing and always welcoming stay
