We enjoyed our seven Night stay at the resort. We had a large family and a two bedroom unit in the tower closest to the wharf. This was easy for catching ride shares and for using the bike system called Biki.

The pools and lagoon are ahead with the younger children. There is a reef to snorkel out to for adults and plenty of water sports. There’s a surf break just off the jetty. The central location makes it easy to get around town and enjoy the highlights of Waikiki and Honolulu.

The staff are friendly and attentive and the food on site is good. There are enough dining options and local spots to hit within walking distance. We only use the car to drive around to the North Shore. Parking is expensive so not having a car was useful.

The dock boat tour of these for across the street and gives you good views of the island from the water. The zoo is a walk away and is another highlight. Overall great time we’ll be back.

Room 3011 city view
We stayed for 12 nights and found the hotel & grounds to be everything we had hoped for. We never had to wait for sun beds and towels were always at the ready. Our suite was comfortable and our 6yr old daughter slept on the pullout sofa bed with no complaints .House keeping never rushed us ,as we do like a sleep-in & the room always spotless on our return in the evening. We made use of the kitchen as we had family around from other towers on the resort, everything I required to cook a decent meal was accessible . The Only thing that need attention was the dishwasher , very tired and ended up washing up by hand. The balcony was huge that stretched across the whole living room and bedroom but was a little windy on some evenings.
Still 5* tho

Aloha, thank you so much for sharing your wonderful feedback. We are so glad your stay was enjoyable and you had a great stay in your suite. However, we apologize for the inconvenience of dishwasher. Grand Waikikian will undergo a full renovation in 2019 with new decor and appliances to offer to our guests. Therefore, your next trip should be beyond perfect. We look forward to the next opportunity to welcome you back to our resort.

We stayed in a one bedroom suite, with a partial ocean view. If the view is important, splurge for a room with a full ocean view. From our balcony, there was a large building blocking the sunset every night. That's the only negative part of this review. Our room was spacious with lots of amenities, like a large soaking tub, full kitchen, and washer/dryer. We were away from the noise and crowds of the Hilton Hawaiian Village, but the resort and all it's features were just steps away when we wanted to enjoy them. The front desk staff was always friendly and helpful, as were the concierges. The Grand Waikikian is close to shopping and restaurants and the beachfront location of the resort can't be beat. Would definitely recommend this resort.

The Grand Waikikian has an excellent location. On the beach and within walking distance of Downtown Honolulu. Staff was excellent and always helpful. Variety of things to do and numerous pools to use besides the beach. Highly recommend.

Stayed for six nights after our Maui trip. I'm a bit disappointed the second time around, the reception when I checked in, and the rooms that I booked was not what I was expecting. The housekeeping services was great.
