“Great location for the price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 July 2012

Very friendly and helpful service. We had an ocean view room which did have an ocean view although understand that there are also buildings in front - the hotel is not beachfront. Still the view to Dismond Head was good- you pay extra for the ocean view to be on the upper floors. For beachfront hotels, you will psy fouble. I didn't ask for it specifically, but you need to be facing the Diamond Head side of Waikiki Beach for the view. I would imagine they allocate the ocean view rooms that way, but may be worth asking because I saw someone asking to be moved from the other side of the hallway to our side of the building.

The oceanfront rooms face the main road and could be noisy at night. Even our room on the side of the building was a bit noisy but that's the price you pay for a central location.

One word of warning - the air conditioning throws air right onto your upper body at night when you're in bed, and clicks on and off all night, so I had to make sure the room was very cool when we went to bed, then turn off the a/c overnight.
The bathrooms are a bit tired and small.
There's no room service but that doesn't matter there are so many restaurants with take out nearby.
Internet was free - good wireless in the rooms as well as Ethernet.
Overall very good mostly because of the central location.

We stayed here for six days with our family. We loved the central location to everything. The hotel is right next door to the International Market Place! It is right across from the beach and right in the middle of all the stores . The staff was very friendly and we could not have asked for a better experience. Mahalo!

I stay in Holiday Inn properties all year. Rooms are basic Holiday Inn rooms - good for sleeping and certainly adequate. I accidentally cancelled my reservation and had to remake it - the hotel manager was very very helpful in getting everything sorted out. I used points and we were upgraded to a partial ocean view with small balcony. Just across the street to the beach which was great and right in the middle of "everything". Staff is very helpful / courteous. Good Value room (even if we had been paying cash).

Room Tip: Book at least partial ocean view with a high floor to get a better view of the water. Of course fu...

Nice and tidy hotel in a good spot, the pool and bar next to the pool is good! good service and good food. The rooms are nice ( beds balcony tv etc ) . The shower and toilet area is very average. But overall pretty good hotel for the price . if your looking for a cheapish holiday in waikiki or if your there for a short stay. ( i was only there for 2 nights before heading to mexico )

We recently stayed here for 5 nights as a family of 4 (with 2 young kids). We stayed in a partial ocean view room on the 19th floor. The room was clean and not too small. Big enough for us to sleep in which was all we were really doing as we were very busy sightseeing. The balcony was small but it was as expected. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms are very dated but it really isn't 5 star so not a problem for us. We arrived on a very early flight and we asked about early check in. We were able to get into our room at midday which was great. We actually went to the pool and lay on the sun lounges while the kids swam and just chilled out. They have free Wifi which is a huge bonus. The only downside (which was big for us) was that it was VERY noisy from the street below (and as I said, we were on the 19th floor). The kids were not bothered by it but it was very irritating for me. Jimmy Buffets is on the first floor so it was noisy from that plus the International market place is also downstairs and has live music etc. far too noisy for me. Luckily is was just the 5 nights.
