The story about the Nevada trying to get out of the harbor between the two waves of attacks was hearting. Words can not express what a moving experience Pearl Harbor is. This is an active military base you are not allowed to bring purses, fanny packs, and please check the web site. There is a vintage submarine the Bow Fin. The Battleship Missouri was not at Pearl Harbor on 12-07-1941, but the peace treaty was signed on the her (launched in 1944).

A highly visited site in Oahu Island. This memorial related o the events when the Japanese attack killed 2,300 US military and civilian personnel. Need reservations or some standby the same day. Some tickets are released online at 3 PM the day before.

A part of history everyone needs to visit. We've waited a long time to visit and are not sorry at all. A beautiful memorial.

Must see place to visit if you are interested in history. Got to visit that 287 to see exactly what a submarine looks like. You get to see how the navy sleeps and eats. I love that choosing of the oyster to get a pearl. The kids also enjoyed that science lesson about submarines. However, a 5 year old running and got yelled at by the gatekeeper. I think he could have been nicer about it. Don’t bring bags or else you have to pay to check it in.
