We stayed 4 nights at this hotel. Driving in from TX, on the first day before heading to the Grand Cayon, we had a car battery problem. The staff there helped us get a towing car, pizza lunch for the kids, helped us calm down a great deal. The rest of trip was smooth sailing. Good coffee in the morning and tea in the afternoon. Heated swimming pool was a huge plus.

Room Tip: 3rd floor was very quiet.

We usually like fairfield's as they are generally well appointed and clean. This was also so. The room was pretty small, tho, esp. with the King bed in there. Our room did have a refrig. & microwave, which wasn't listed in description when we booked, so that was a nice surprise. It was a pretty busy place all three nights we stayed and the breakfast room, also on the small side, gets pretty crowded. Nothing special about the breakfast. Its a good location for freeway access and NAU. Check-in was one of the quickest ever, however the desk clerk was not very cheerful.
We did not use the pool but it looked like it could get packed during peak times. We did use the breakfast room to play cards at night and it was a nice quiet space. Would stay there again,.

Room Tip: Ask for upper floor. Its on a busy street and the further away, maybe the better. Or maybe on back s...

My family of 4 stayed one night. The room was clean, cool, and fresh smelling (not perfumey or stale). Yes, the bathroom was small, but we managed just fine. We slept very well on the top, third floor with no noise from above. AC was quiet and we noticed no street noise. Breakfast was typical fare including the waffles, bagels, hard-boiled eggs, microwave egg omelets, & donuts. The coffee was great. Office and breakfast staff were friendly and helpful.

Fast food restaurants and a Target are conveniently nearby.

When in Flagstaff, we would stay here again.

Room Tip: Top, third floor has indoor hallway and no noise from above.

This is just was not worth the points. The newer Fairfield Inn & Suites are much nicer. This is an early version Fairfield with bathrooms so small that you run into yourself! Other than that it was okay but not worth the cost.

Also, the staff is not impressive.

I am a Marriott platinum loyalist. Stayed here with my wife and kids on a recent road trip. Most of the travelers who stay here are on their way to or from the Grand Canyon. First of all this property has OUTSIDE doors, which I had never seen on any other Marriott. This hotel is dated, rooms are small, bathrooms are tiny, fixtures are falling apart. During breakfast I noticed the cafe area was a disaster: food on the floors, tables dirty, items not restocked.

The only good thing I can say about this hotel (motel?) is that the staff were friendly and helpful. Beyond that this is motel 6 quality for $149 a night. There are lots of better options nearby, including other Marriott properties (and Motel 6).
