We stayed at Motel 6 in Flagstaff for 3 nights (July 1st - July 4th). We reserved ahead, which was a good thing, cause when we came in to check in, there were 2 groups ahead of us who couldn't get a room, due to no more rooms available.
Check in was fine, no complications. The man behind the counter was friendly and talkative :-)
We knew we were at a motel, so we'd expect nothing fancy. Two queen beds and a bathroom. It was a little unfortunate not to have a little fridge to store our water in, but that was fine! The room was clean and looked real nice! The bathroom was small, but fine for whatever we needed to do.
To conclude, I'd recommend staying at this motel! It's location is convenient, there's a Walmart right across the street and Ihop right next door. From there we went to the Grand Canyon (about an hour drive) and we drove to Page (just under 2 hours drive) to see the Antelope Canyon and Horseshoebend.
We stayed on the second floor (there are 3), more towards the entrance of the motel. Do keep in mind that the motel is next to I-40, so there might be some noise from passing cars. However, we weren't bothered by the noise at all.
Again, it is a motel, so if you want something more luxury, this is not the place. But if you're looking for a place to put your head down and a convenient place to stay near the Grand Canyon, this is the place to be! It's clean, comfortable and the staff is friendly.
